Hey Beauty Lovers!
I am one week away from my scheduled C-Section, and I am feeling the pain! The last week is always the longest, but I am trying to take it one day at a time. On a more positive note, we are finally moving out of NYC next week! I have lived in NYC all my life, and it's finally time to move. My apartment is already too cramped with one child, I cannot even imagine how uncomfortable we will be here with a new baby. We are so ready to have a house with a huge yard!
Enough with my life story already! Let's get down to business. Every month, I log the products that I used in both the AM and PM. Since I run out of products in the middle of the month, I always take a photo of my routine at the end of each month. That way, you can see which products have been replaced month to month. I hope that makes sense!
Disclaimer: I use affiliate links in my blog posts. By using one of my affiliate links, I receive a few dollars. This helps support the blog since I do not accept money for product reviews. I never use affiliate links for products that I don't actually recommend. If you feel uncomfortable using affiliate links, please don't feel obligated to click on anything in this blog. You will also see that quite a few products have been sent to me for free. As a beauty blogger, I receive many products each month. I test out each product before giving an honest review. I am not required to include them in any posts, so if you see them show up, I actually like the products.
June 2019 AM Skincare Routine:
1. Cleanser
- Mizon Snail Repairing Foam Cleanser- I always like to double cleanse my skin. In June, I started my cleansing routine with a foam cleanser. I love this snail cleanser from Mizon. It is so moisturizing, and it doesn't leave my skin all dried out. After cleansing, I pat my skin dry with a clean face towel.
- Son & Park Beauty Water- As a second cleanser in the AM, I was using some Beauty Water on a cotton round. I liked to use this cleansing water to help remove any dead skin and prep my face for makeup application. I am now out of Beauty Water, but I do have the Beauty Water pads.
2. Essence and Toners
- COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner- After Beauty Water, I would then apply this exfoliating toner. I would spray it 2-3 times into my palms and pat the toner into my skin. This toner is amazing! If you have any issues with acne or clogged pores, I highly recommend trying out this toner.
- Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence- Once I applied a treatment toner, I would start the 7-skin method. I would apply the Starting Treatment Essence with my hands 4 times. I have repurchased this essence multiple times already, it is now a staple in my routine.
- COSRX Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner- I then applied 3 layers of the Centella toner. I switched the order of the Starting Treatment Essence and Centella toner in July, and I think they are a lot more effective in that order. I am now almost out of this toner, but I won't be repurchasing it yet because I have another hydrating toner waiting to be tested.
3. Serums
- Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop Serum- This is a very mild vitamin c serum. It only contains 5% vitamin c, so you have to be patient. You won't see results unless you use this serum consistently for a few months. It is a great vitamin c for sensitive skin, and it will not burn at all.
- Bellflower Coconut Hydrating Serum*- I was really excited when Bellflower sent me this serum. Their serums have been all over Instagram a few months ago, and I really wanted to get my hands on one of them. Thankfully they sent me their Coconut Hydrating Serum. I am not sensitive to skincare with coconut, so it was a perfect match. This serum was absolutely amazing! I am now out of the serum, and I really miss the way it made my skin feel My skin was soft and completely hydrated while I used this serum, and I will definitely be repurchasing this product in the future.
4. Sheet Mask
I try to use a sheet mask every AM, but sometimes I run out of time! I always use a sheet mask in the PM, so I end up using a sheet mask at least once a day.
5. Ampoule & Serum
- The Skin House Snail Mucin 5000 Ampoule*- After a sheet mask, I like to seal in all my moisturizing products with an ampoule. This snail mucin ampoule is amazing! It smells so good and it's not sticky at all. Snail mucin is great at this point in the routine.
- Meebak Cica Face Serum*- This is a thicker serum, so I like to layer it over all my other serums. The Cica Face Serum is made with Centella Asiatica which will really help strengthen the skin barrier. It will also help with redness and irritation. I have been loving this serum, and I am already halfway through the bottle.
6. Eye Cream
- Fleur & Bee Eyes Eyes Baby Anti-Aging Eye Cream*- I used to apply eye cream after all my serums. This is a lightweight eye cream that is crazy moisturizing. It is a fantastic addition to my routine and a little goes a very long way. I always use an eye cream before my regular moisturizer to help protect my delicate under-eye area.
7. Moisturizer
- Elensilia-CPP French Propolis 80 Resistem Cream- Once I have added as much hydration to my skin as possible, I slather my skin with moisturizers. This helps keep all the water from evaporating. My favorite day cream is made of propolis. I find that it helps protect my skin from NYC pollution very well. This one from Elensilia is very sticky. It provides my face with an actual barrier which is the key for me.
8. Facial Oil
- Radha Beauty Organic Argan Oil- After applying a sticky cream, I like to apply a few drops of Argan oil. It helps with sunscreen and makeup application. If you are currently buying an expensive Argan oil, stop right now! The Radha Beauty Organic Argan Oil is very high quality and very affordable. Seriously, try it!
9. Sunscreen
- Australian Gold Botanical SPF 50 Tinted Sunscreen- This has been my HG sunscreen for over a year. My husband and daughter also use this sunscreen now, and they love it! It has a natural satin finish that evens out your skin. I cannot recommend this sunscreen enough!
10. Lip Balm
- Smith's Rose & Mandarin Lip Balm- Of course, who can forget lip balm? If you get dry lips like me, lip balm is a must. If you haven't tried any of the Smith's tin lip balms, you are doing lip care wrong! These lip balms (in tin or tube) will change your life! A little goes a very long way, so keep that in mind when you see the price tag.
June 2019 PM Skincare Routine:
1. Cleanse
- iUNIK Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil*- After wearing sunscreen and/or makeup all day, oil cleansing is a must! I love this cleansing oil from iUNIK. It is so hydrating, and it removes all traces of the day. I applied this every PM on dry skin. I would first warm the oil up in my hands and then rub the oil all over my face, including my eyes. Using this oil was such a relaxing experience.
- Be Plain Greenful pH-Balanced Cleansing Foam*- After rinsing off the cleansing oil, you must follow up with a regular cleanser. I used this foaming cleanser from Be Plain. It smells amazing and it has exfoliating particles that gently exfoliate the skin. Always pat your skin dry with a clean face towel. I am still in love with this cleanser, but I now use it in the AM.
2. Essence & Toners
- Coxir Green Tea BHA Clear Toner*- After cleansing, a treatment toner is a must. This Green Tea BHA toner is amazing. I applied it with a cotton round to gently exfoliate my skin. It leaves an interesting feeling residue on the face, which actually adds a boost of hydration. This is seriously a fantastic toner.
- Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence- see AM routine.
- COSRX Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner- see AM routine.
3. Serums
- Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop Serum- see AM routine.
- Bellflower Coconut Hydrating Serum*- see AM routine.
- iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum*- In the PM, I like to use as many hydrating products as possible. My skin tends to get dehydrated overnight, so I need to be really careful. This snail serum is so lightweight, but it is a huge game-changer! Ever since adding the serum into my routine, my skin has been looking absolutely radiant.
4. Eye Patches & Sheet Mask
- JayJun Roselle Tea Eye Patches- I used to use eye patches under my sheet mask in the PM. These JayJun patches are one of my favorites for young-looking eyes. Remember that you need to use eye patches daily to see any results! I now use my eye patches in the AM if I use a sheet mask. If I don't end up having time for an AM sheet mask, I use the eye patches with my PM sheet mask.
5. Essence & Ampoule
- COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence- Like in the AM, I use a snail mucin product to seal in moisture. This snail mucin essence is the typical slimy texture that you are probably imagining when you hear the words snail mucin. If you can get over the sliminess, this is an amazing product!
- Elensilia-CPP 82 Green Propolis Ampoule- While the snail mucin is still wet on my skin, I apply an ampoule. This helps the ampoule spread much easier. For my PM ampoule, I like to use products from the Elensilia-CPP line. They are amazing for age prevention!
6. Eye Cream
- Coxir Black Snail Collagen Eye Cream- For the PM, I really like to use this Black Snail Collagen Eye Cream. It is a little sticky, but it has been really softening the fine lines around my eyes. It is a pretty lightweight eye cream, so now I layer a thicker eye cream on top of this one.
7. Treatment Cream
- Sunroi APTOX Ointment Cream*- I was sent this cream to review, so I decided to add it to my PM routine. This cream isn't a product I would purchase on my own. It is formulated with a BOTOX alternative, and it is supposed to be an amazing anti-aging cream. I was honestly blown away with how great my skin looked while using this cream. I would only apply a light layer, but it made my fine lines virtually invisible! I am probably going to be purchasing a new tube soon.
8. Moisturizer
- Meebak Cica Face Cream*- Even though this cream is meant to be used with the Cica Face Serum, I end up using the cream in the PM. It's just a better fit for my personal routine. I love this cream. It is lightweight but very moisturizing. I layered this cream on top of the APTOX cream, and it was a fantastic combination. I am still using this face cream, and it is still fantastic.
9. Sleeping Pack
- SNP Bird's Nest Water Sleeping Pack*- I have been using the Bird's Nest sleeping pack for a few months already. It is the perfect consistency for the warmer weather months. I really like that it comes in 20 packets to keep the formula fresh. Each packet lasts about a week, so the box will last a while. I am now in my last month's worth of this mask, and I am going to miss it! After I use up the other sleeping masks in my testing box, I may purchase it myself.
10. Facial Oil
- Radha Beauty Organic Rosehip Oil- I always seal in my PM skincare with a few drops of Rosehip oil. The Radha Beauty oils are amazing. They are so affordable and very high quality. Please try these oils! FYI: I am not an ambassador for the brand. I buy these with my own money. I just love them so much!
11. Lip Balm
- Smith's Rose & Mandarin Lip Balm- see AM routine.
