Dr. Dennis Gross | New Alpha Beta Daily Essentials Kit | Full Review

Hey Beauty Lovers!

Today we will be taking a look at the all-new Alpha Beta Daily Essentials Kit from Dr. Dennis Gross.

Dr. Dennis Gross is a high-end skincare brand with products designed to clear skin and provide a youthful appearance. Dr. Dennis Gross products are quite pricey, but they are always worth every penny. Their now infamous Alpha Beta Peel Pads ($88 for 30 treatments) are great for a variety of skin concerns; fine lines, wrinkles, texture issues, and even adult acne.

Dr. Dennis Gross expanded their Alpha Beta line and they are now selling a 3-step system that will literally transform your skin. I have been using this new kit for the last month and I am already blown away by my results!

Are you ready to read about this magical skincare kit and my results after just one month?

Let's get right to the good stuff...

JayJun | Roselle Tea Eye Gel Patches Review

Hey Beauty Lovers!

Eye patches are one of my favorite Korean beauty products that I discovered during my time as a beauty blogger.

I have tested so many different eye patches over the last 5 years, but I keep coming back to these beautiful pink patches from JayJun.

I first tried the JayJun Roselle Tea Eye Gel Patches in 2019, and this is now the third jar that I purchased myself!

Let's get right to the review...

True Botanicals | Chebula Active Serum Review

Hey Beauty Lovers!

True Botanicals is a relatively new luxury brand that offers effective anti-aging skincare products.

I first noticed the brand when I saw Olivia Wilde as their brand ambassador. I absolutely love Olivia, so I knew that I had to try out one of their products.

Once I got to the website, I decided to look into their mission and back story.

The True Botanicals' mission is all about sustainability and natural-biocompatibility. All their products are formulated with botanical ingredients, many of which have organic origins. They also leave out all the unnecessary fillers from their ingredients list.

All the products are pretty expensive, so I only chose one product to review.

They have a nice range of skincare products, you can actually put together an entire routine from their website, but I was in need of an anti-aging serum, so I chose the Chebula Active Serum to test out.

Spoiler Alert: If you are looking for a single product that will help soften the look of fine lines and wrinkles, this review is for you!

First Aid Beauty | FAB Pharma Calamine Pore Purging Mask Review

Hey Beauty Lovers!

As someone who has struggled with acne and clogged pores for many years, I rely heavily on clay masks to keep my skin clear.

Ten years ago, there were only a few masks to choose from. I basically kept about 5 tubes of the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask in my skincare stash at all times and religiously used it 2-3 times a week.

Thankfully, skincare has come a long way over the past decade. It seems that clay masks are pretty popular and we now have access to a wide variety of formulas.

I recently wrote a post with all my favorite wash-off masks, and I included the First Aid Beauty FAB Pharma Calamine Pore Purging Mask under the Top Masks for Clearing Acne.

This is a mask that I use whenever my skin feels congested, and I am blown away by how quickly it can clear my skin during an active breakout.

If you are looking for a fantastic clay mask that will help keep your skin clear, this review is for you!

Firm Sagging Skin Quickly with These Two Must-Have Products from Fresh

Hello Beauty Lovers!

I have gotten a few requests from you asking me to recommend skincare products that will help firm up sagging skin quickly, so here we are with two products that will give you visible results within a month!

The problem with anti-aging products is that they work very slowly. It can take 6 months before seeing any progress from your favorite moisturizer or serum. That's just way too long for most people, and the long waiting period can even be discouraging to skincare addicts like me.

Before you give up all hope and turn to cosmetic surgery for that facelift look, take a look at this duo from Fresh, you will be amazed by your results!

I'm From Mugwort Skincare Review

Hey Beauty Lovers!

Today I'm going to be talking about one of my favorite skincare ingredients... Mugwort.

What the f*** is mugwort? I'm glad you asked!

Disclaimer: This site contains affiliate links to products. We may receive a commission for purchases made through these links. Read my full disclaimer here.

Skincare Benefits of Mugwort

Mugwort is a plant with deep North American roots. It is actually illegal to sell mugwort seeds and plants in NY because it is considered a noxious weed. You can actually find wild mugwort plants all over NY, especially in the mountains.

This is not to say that mugwort can't be found elsewhere around the globe. In fact, it also has deep Asian roots! As an herbalist, I have to mention that mugwort is a fantastic herb with very powerful medicinal properties. I can personally tell you that mugwort actually does some amazing things to the skin.

Korea is always setting trends in the skincare community with their innovative products and focus on effective ingredients. One of the ingredients that blew up a few years ago was mugwort extract/powder.

So what can mugwort do for your skin?

Hey Beauty Lovers!

Today I'm going to be reviewing the Wishtrend #TeamDully Box (currently $96.60- only pay $82.11 with the code MIRIAM15) that I was sent last month.

Skinfix Barrier+ Skincare Review

Hello Beauty Lovers!

I cannot believe how fast January flew by. It seems like yesterday that we were bringing in the new year, and now we are already entering February.

Speaking of February, I am going to be posting my Valentine's Day Makeup Picks in two weeks, let me know via Instagram DM if I should do a red or pink look.

Many moons ago, Skinfix sent over three products from their Barrier+ line for me to test out. I have already reviewed these products on my Instagram page, but I wanted to put together my thoughts for you guys on the blog.

Skinfix is a Clean at Sephora brand that is pretty new. The Barrier+ line products are formulated to help repair and strengthen the skin barrier.

As someone who has damaged my skin barrier in the past (thank you Proactive), the Barrier+ line sounds like a dream come true!

If you are looking for products that will help heal and strengthen the skin barrier, this post is for you.

Peach Slices Snail Rescue Skincare Review

Hello Beauty Lovers!

I'm slowly getting through my missed blog posts from January, but I have so many more reviews to write. I hope that I can catch up over February!

Quite a few months ago, Peach Slices sent me three products from their Snail Rescue line to test out and review. Peach Slices is a brand under the K-Beauty brand Peach & Lily. Peach Slices can be found on the Peach & Lily website, Ulta, and Target. Their products are a little cheaper than Peach & Lily products, and they are targeting a younger demographic.

Most Peach Slices products are designed to address acne-prone skin, a typical teenage skincare concern.

Heimish Skincare Review

Hello Beauty Lovers!

It's been quite a while since I posted a skincare review, I hope that you enjoy reading this post as much as I will enjoy writing it.

Heimish is a K-Beauty brand that has always intrigued me. Everyone always raves about their cleansing balm, but Heimish has so many other products available that sound amazing!

The brand reached out to me a few months ago and asked me to pick three products to review. I love when brands let me choose which products I want to review instead of sending me random items that I may not need for my current routine.

Anyway, I chose the three products shown below, and I had a chance to try them out. Now that I have some opinions about them, I am ready to write some reviews!

Erno Laszlo Skincare Review

>>Erno Laszlo Skincare<<

Erno Laszlo, a famous skincare brand used by the likes of Marylin Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, and Jackie O, has been around since 1927.

The founder of the brand, Dr. Erno Laszlo, prescribed skincare routines for his clients and introduced the double cleanse to Americans. It's kind of funny to think that Caroline Hirons claims to have made the double cleansing method popular when it has been in America before she was born!

Interestingly, before Erno Laszlo introduced his oil cleanser and bar soap duo, most American women would use cold cream to remove their makeup (think Pond's cream). Dr. Laszlo was indeed ahead of his time, just imagine what he would say if he saw how commonplace the double cleansing method has become all over the world!

In addition to the double cleanse, Dr. Laszlo specially formulated products to treat the skin concerns of the elite. From American celebrities to princesses in Europe, the rich and famous flocked to Dr. Laszlo for his unique products.

Fortunately, Erno Laszlo skincare is now available to the public, and we can all enjoy the fantastic creations of Dr. Laszlo. The brand is now sold at high-end department stores and Sephora, with mostly the same formulations as the original products.

Erno Laszlo (the brand, not Dr. Laszlo) was kind enough to send me a few products to test and review, and I have been loving everything they sent.

Before you continue reading this post, please note that Erno Laszlo products are pricey. This is a luxury skincare brand, and the prices are quite high. If you enjoy luxury products, then this is the post for you!

Let's get right to the products...

>>Hydra Therapy Foaming Cleanse<<

The Erno Laszlo Hydra Therapy Foaming Cleanse ($50) is a very rich, creamy cleanser that is perfect for dry skin.

If you do suffer from dry skin, you may know how hard it actually is to find a hydrating cleanser. Most cleansers on the market are formulated with harsh ingredients that completely strip the skin. This cleanser is so nourishing, and the fragrance reminds me of the spa.

Key Ingredients:
  • Shea Butter- super nourishing and rich in fatty acids
  • Rice + Pomegranate Blend- hydrates the skin, gives it a glow, and acts as an anti-oxidant
  • Marula Oil- healing and moisturizing
The cleanser itself is thick and creamy (that's what she said!), but it washes off the skin very easily. I noticed that my skin felt smooth, hydrated, and healthy when I started using this cleanser daily. I even noticed a glow to my skin that wasn't coming from my other skincare products!

I am overall really impressed with this cleanser, and I love that they included rice in the ingredients list. As a long-time K-Beauty lover, I have found that rice in skincare does wonders for my complexion. It helps keep my skin smooth, bright, and my pores tight. It really does bring the cleanser to a whole new level.

10/10 I recommend getting this cleanser if you want hydrated and bright skin.

Ingredients:
Aqua (Water/Eau), Myristic Acid, Glycerin, PEG-20, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Glyceryl Stearate Se, Stearic Acid, Lauric Acid, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Chloride, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Ethylhexylglycerin, Parfum (Fragrance), Chlorphenesin, Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum, Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil, Tetrasodium Edta, Urea, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Saccharide Hydrolysate, Alanine, Glycine, Magnesium Aspartate, Punica Granatum Bark Extract, Butylene Glycol, Hydrolyzed Rice Protein, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Benzyl Alcohol, Creatine, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Dehydroacetic Acid, Linalool, Limonene.

>>Hydra-Therapy Boost Serum<<

The Erno Lazlo Hydra-Therapy Boost Serum ($108) is the most unique serum I have ever tried, and I'm a beauty blogger!

The serum has a gel-like texture, but if you look closely, you will see that there are actually drops of all throughout the product. The beauty of the serum is that there are oils suspended in the gel so that they are activated only when applied to your skin! The gel deeply hydrates your skin while the oil droplets deeply nourish your skin at the same time.

Key Ingredients:
  • Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil- hydrates and nourishes the skin
  • Crithmum Maritimum Extract- healing and protects the skin barrier
I noticed a difference in the hydration of my skin and my skin barrier felt so much stronger after a few weeks of consistent use. It feels kind of cold when first applied, and the gel almost feels like aloe. I have to say that this serum is very soothing, and I really enjoyed using it daily.

I especially love using this serum under makeup. It gives my skin a nice slip and keeps it hydrated, even under layers of face makeup. It also has a pretty minimal ingredients list and it smells amazing. I'm not sure why this serum isn't more popular, it's really a fantastic product for dry and mature skin types.

Again, I would definitely recommend this product. So far I am 2/2 for Erno Laszlo recommendations.

Ingredients:
Water (Aqua/Eau), Glycerin, Isononyl Isononanoate, Betaine, Pentylene Glycol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Crithmum Maritimum Extract, Disodium Edta, Amodimethicone, Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum (Fragrance).

>>Hydra-Therapy Memory Sleep Mask<<

The Erno Laszlo Hydra-Therapy Memory Sleep Mask ($44 for the mini shown, $108 for the full-size) is the best sleeping mask I have ever used.

I honestly hate that I love this product so much because it is so expensive! However, a little really goes a long way with this sleeping mask. If you don't know what a sleep mask is, you apply them after the rest of your skincare products (except oils) before bed. They work overnight to transform your skin into a more dewy, hydrated, radiant version.

This sleep mask is called a memory sleep mask because the gel looks completely undisturbed every time you open the jar. It really is very cool looking, and I even tried completely swirling everything in the jar to see if it would go back to its original state. Spoiler alert: it did!

Key Ingredients:
  • Prickly Pear, Green Ginger and Mugwort Extracts- deeply hydrating
  • Winged Kelp Extract- rich in fatty acids to help the skin feel resilient and firm
  • Our fruit-derived dual-action Recovery Complex- brightens the skin
Prickly pear, ginger, and mugwort are all ingredients that can be found in the best K-Beauty products on the market right now. I love that they incorporate all three in one fantastic product! The gel feels amazing on the skin, and it doesn't feel as heavy as some other masks I've used in the past.

My skin fell completely in love with this sleep mask, and I need to get my hands on another jar of this ASAP. You absolutely need one of these in your routine, even if you don't have dry skin!

Again, I 100% recommend this! Erno Laszlo, you are killing me with all these fantastic products!

Ingredients:
Water (Aqua/Eau), Glycerin, Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, PEG-240/HDI/Copolymer Bis-Decyltetradeceth-20 Ether, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Dimethiconol, Chlorphenesin, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Polyacrylate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Disodium EDTA, Parfum (Fragrance), Algae Extract, Citric Acid, Trideceth-6, Potassium Laurate, Artemisia Absinthium Extract, Artemisia Vulgaris Extract, BHT, CI 16035 (Red 40), Opuntia Ficus-Indica Stem Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Leaf Extract, Benzyl Alcohol.

>>Final Thoughts<<

If you are looking for a fantastic skincare line that will help hydrate and brighten your skin, check out the Hydra-Therapy products from Erno Laszlo.

There is a reason they are such a well-known luxury brand, their skincare products actually work! I don't think I could ever have a bad thing to say about any of these products. Well, ok. If I must. If you do have acne-prone skin, you need to be careful about the serum. The oils can be a little heavy and you may end up with a breakout.

Okay, no more negativity.

If I had to rate these products from most to least favorite, it would be Sleep Mask, Serum, and then Cleanser. If you could only afford to get one of these, I highly recommend the sleep mask!

I hope you enjoyed this post! If you are looking for more of my fantastic skincare reviews, check out the Skincare Reviews Series at the top of this page.

Son & Park Beauty Water Toning Pads Review

>>Son & Park Beauty Water<<

You may have already heard about the Son & Park Beauty Water, it was all the rage a few years ago. I remember purchasing my first bottle from a small K-Beauty shop in NYC (you can read all about it here). I also reviewed the Beauty Water back in 2018 (you can find that review here).

I am a huge fan of the original Beauty Water. I like to apply it with a cotton round to help exfoliate my skin in the AM, but I have also applied it directly to my face with my hands in the place of an essence.

The one downside is that it's hard to travel with a huge bottle. When I found out that Beauty Water now comes in pad form, I knew I had to have them. They sounded like the perfect travel companion!

So, of course, I picked up a tub of the Beauty Water pads. I have now emptied the entire tub, and I am finally ready to write my review.

>>Beauty Water Toning Pads<<

The Beauty Water Toning Pads are essentially small textured pads soaked in Beauty Water. Each tub comes with 50 pre-soaked pads, so they are more expensive than the bottled version.

I like that the pads come with a smooth side and a textured side. It makes it easy to exfoliate gently in the AM, and my makeup always applies effortlessly when I use them.

I am a little disappointed that the pads are so small, but they are absolutely soaked with Beauty Water. As long as you are not using these to cleanse your skin, one pad is enough to tone and exfoliate the entire face.

The pads didn't dry out over the few months that I used them, so these can be stored for a while after opening.

Like the original Beauty Water, the Toning Pads can be used on the face and body. These are especially great for exfoliating before makeup application, but they can also be used on rough elbows and knees.

Beauty Water is formulated with natural AHAs and BHA to gently exfoliate the dead skin from the surface. It also contains a blend of fruit extracts to help tone and brighten the skin.

To use the toning pads, first sweep them across your face with the smooth side and then repeat with the textured side. You will notice an instant difference in the feel and look of your skin. Keep the pads in the fridge for a nice cooling treat in the summer!

If you have sensitive skin, I recommend only using the smooth side of the pad. The textured side may be too rough for your skin. If you are sensitive to essential oils, avoid this product completely!

All other skin types can enjoy these toning pads without any issues.

Ingredients List:
Water, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Butylene Glycol,Propanediol, PEG-7 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Pentylene Glycol, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Xylitol, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil,Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Cedrus Atlantica Bark Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Water, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Oil, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit/Seed Oil, Artemisia Absinthium Extract, Rose Flower Oil, Ferula Galbaniflua (Galbanum) Resin Oil, Thuja Occidentalis Leaf Extract, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Laveder)Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Mentha Piperita(Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Mentha Rotundifolia Leaf Extract, Mentha Spicata Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Origanum Majorana Leaf Extract, OriganumVulgare Leaf Extract, Pelargonium Graveolens Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Leaf Extract, Glycerin, Decyl Glucoside, 1,2-Hexanediol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Sodium Chloride, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Octanediol, Copaifera Officinalis (Balsam Copaiba) Resin, Protease, Alcohol Denat., Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol

>>Final Thoughts<<

Overall, I highly recommend the Beauty Water Toning Pads.

If you are torn between getting the original Beauty Water and these Toning Pads, I recommend getting the original Beauty Water for daily use and the Toning Pads for travel only. You get so many more uses for the price with the original bottle.

Either way, definitely get one of the Beauty Waters to add to your skincare routine! You will be pleasantly surprised by the results.

I hope you enjoyed this quick review! If you are looking for more skincare reviews, check out the Skincare Reviews Series tab at the top of this page.

There are WTL boxes that will help with post-acne hyperpigmentation, acne-prone skin, aging skin, and teen skin. All of the products are very high quality and are very gentle on the skin.

I will be going through all of the current WTL boxes on the Wishtrend website, and I will give you my routine recommendations for each box.

All of the prices listed are accurate at the time of posting, the prices may change at any time.

Let's get to the WTL boxes...

>>Available Boxes<<

1. WTL Correcting Post Acne Pigmentation Clearing Kit ($92.40)- If you suffered from acne as a teen (or adult), you may notice dark spots on your face that were left from acne marks. This skin condition is called post-inflammation hyperpigmentation, and it can be really hard to get rid of. Thankfully, there are so many great skin lightening products that will help you get your skin back to being spot free. This set includes a bottle of the I'm from Rice Toner, a box of the Klairs Toner Mate 2 in 1 Cotton Pads, a bottle of the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop Serum, a jar of the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask, a tube of the Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream (larger size), a tube of the Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence, 5 of the Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Tencel Sheet Mask, and the By Wishtrend Clear Skin Shield Patch. The value of this box is over $158. I recommend applying the Rice Toner with a cotton pad after cleansing twice a day, applying 1-3 layers of the Rice Toner with your hands twice a day, using a sheet mask at least once a week after toning, applying the vitamin c serum twice a day, applying the calming cream in the AM, applying the vitamin e mask in the PM, and applying sunscreen in the AM. Apply an acne patch on any breakouts to help clear them quickly. It will only take a few weeks for this routine to start giving results, and you will be so shocked by the transformation.

Always use an SPF before going outside in the AM, and apply the Blue Calming Cream on open acne wounds. The only thing missing from this routine is an oil cleanser, I recommend this one from Klairs. 4. WTL Day & Night Oily Acne Prone Skin Care Kit ($90.30)- If you have oily, acne-prone skin, you already know that the fewer products you use, the better your skin will look. This set includes a bottle of the Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner, a jar of the By Wishtrend Vitamin 75 Maximizing Cream, a bottle of the By Wishtrend Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule, a bottle of the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop Serum, and a tube of the Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence. I recommend applying 1-3 layers of the toner with your hands after cleansing twice a day, apply a few drops of the Klairs serum in the AM, apply a few drops of the By Wishtrend serum in the PM, apply the moisturizer twice a day, and apply the sunscreen in the AM. If you don't have a skincare routine yet, or your current routine isn't working for your oily, acne-prone skin, ty this set out!

5. WTL Youthful Aging Skin Care Box ($149)- This set is great for aging skin! With this box you will get a bottle of the I'm From Rice Toner, a jar of the I'm From Ginseng Eye Cream, a jar of the By Wishtrend Vitamin 75 Maximizing Cream, a bottle of the Klairs Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop, and the Klairs Fundamental Watery Oil Drop. The total value of this box is $149, so you aren't saving anything by getting the bundle. If you are new to K-Beauty skincare, you are in for a real treat with this lineup. Your skin will completely transform in a few weeks with continued use! I recommend applying a few drops of the Youth Activating Drops after cleansing, then apply the Rice Toner with your hands, follow up with a few drops of the Watery Oil Drop, apply the Eye Cream, and finish up with the moisturizer. This routine can be done twice a day for a more youthful appearance. Remember that any anti-aging skincare routine needs to include an SPF, I recommend this one.

6. WTL Reveal Your Best Skin Box ($91.70)- This set is great for the skincare junkie looking to try out a new skincare routine. The set includes a bottle of the Klairs Daily Skin Hydrating Water, a jar of the Klairs Youthful Glow Sugar Mask, a jar of the I'm From  Honey Glow Cream, a tube of the Klairs Fundamental Nourishing Eye Butter, and a bottle of the Klairs Fundamental Eye Awakening Gel. Bonus gifts included in this set are a box of the Klairs Toner Mate Cotton Pads, 10 samples of the Klairs Fundamental Nourishing Eye Butter, and 10 samples of the Klairs Fundamental Eye Awakening Gel. The total value of this set is over $124. I recommend using the Sugar Mask once a week after cleansing, applying the Hydrating Water with a cotton pad after cleansing twice a day, using a serum of your choice (this one is a great choice for this routine), apply the Eye Awakening Gel to the eye area in the AM, apply the Nourishing Eye Butter around the eyes in the PM, and applying a nice layer of the Honey Glow Cream twice a day. This is a great set for beginners and advanced skincare practitioners, but it is best suited for normal skin types. Remember that any skincare routine needs to include an SPF, I recommend this one

7. WTL Total Care Kit for Acne-prone and Sensitive Skin ($86.10)- It may sound strange, but there are many people with acne and sensitive skin. This means that harsh acne treatments will actually make the acne worse! If this happens to you, please know that there are options, and this kit is fantastic for your skin type. These products will help soothe your skin and your acne will have a chance to heal. This set includes a tube of the Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream, a bottle of the Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum, a bottle of the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner, 5 of the Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Tencel Sheet Masks, a jar of the Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream, and a Skinmiso Comedo Remover. This set has a value of over $104.25 (I couldn't find the price of the comedo remover). I would recommend applying the toner with your hands after cleansing twice a day, using a sheet mask after toning at least once a week, applying a pump of serum after toning and/or masking twice a day, and applying the Soothing Cream twice a day after serum. Whenever you have a breakout, after the cleansing step, use the comedo remover tool to break any whiteheads. Follow up with the Calming Cream instead of any other product. You will see fantastic results in 14 days! Remember that any anti-acne skincare routine needs to include an SPF, I recommend this one.

It comes with 10 By Wishtrend Natural Vitamin 21.5% Enhancing Sheet Masks, a bottle of Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop Serum, and a bottle of Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner. The value of this box is $75 when purchasing the products individually. I recommend applying the toner with your hands after cleansing twice a day, using a sheet mask after toner at least twice a week, and finally applying the vitamin c serum twice a day. I would also recommend following up with a moisturizer after serum (this one is a great option for glowing skin). With consistent use, this set will give your skin a healthy glow in a few weeks! Remember that any skincare routine needs to include an SPF, I recommend this one.

iUNIK Skincare Review

>> iUNIK <<

iUNIK is a minimalistic k-beauty skincare brand.

iUNIK stands for Ideal (ideal for skin), Unique (unique and effective products), Natural (using only natural, safe formulations), Ingredients (remove the bad ingredients, add the good ingredients), Knowhow (know-how to develop the best products).

I think it's cute that they tried to come up with a unique name, but it's a little too much in my opinion. I'm going to assume that it sounds a lot more creative to people in South Korea. However, I liked the name a lot more when I thought it stood for something in Korean.

Other than the interesting name, I do like the concept of the brand. They are pretty transparent with their ingredients, and they spend their money on quality instead of over-the-top packaging.

I'm always a little skeptical about companies that claim to use natural ingredients. Are they using natural ingredients that are fantastic for the skin, or are they just pumping the products full of random ingredients that can be naturally derived but don't provide any real skin benefits?

Thankfully, iUNIK sent me two of their products to test and review*. I was able to select two products from their entire lineup, and I chose the Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil and the Black Snail Restore Serum.

>> Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil <<

The iUNIK Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil a lightweight oil that claims to remove all traces of sunscreen and makeup. I don't like to rely on a cleansing oil for makeup removal, but I can say that this oil deep cleans my skin without leaving any residue. I love that this cleansing oil can be used for all skin types, including acne[prone and sensitive skin.

This cleansing oil is formulated with Calendula Flower Extract, Sunflower Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Canola Oil, and Macadamia Nut Oil. After using the entire bottle, I can honestly say that I found my Holy Grail cleansing oil! My skin always felt nourished but clean when I double cleansed with this cleanser, and it didn't matter what I used for my second cleanser.

This is the second [roduct that I've tried with Calendula Flower Extract, and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with the results. Calendula is amazing for softening the skin, and you can see the results after only one use! I recommended this cleanser to my best friend (my actual BFF in real life), and she also fell in love with this product! My friend has a completely different skin type than I do, and we both enjoyed this cleanser so much.

Key Ingredients:
  • Calendula Flower Extract- calms and strengthens skin
  • Sunflower Seed Oil- gently moisturizes skin
  • Jojoba Seed Oil- balances the skin
  • Cananga Odorata Flower Oil- controls sebum production
  • Canola Oil- deeply moisturizes skin
  • Macadamia Nut Oil- calms and restores the skin barrier
How To Use:
Apply two pumps of oil into the palms of your hands and gently massage the oil into your dry face. Once your face is coated, add a little water to your hands and massage your face again. Once all the oil looks milky, rinse your skin thoroughly with water. Follow up with a water-based cleanser to remove all traces of the oil cleanser.

Full Ingredients List:
Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Canola Oil, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate, Simmondsia Chinensis(Jojoba) Seed Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Sorbitan Sesquioleate

>> Black Snail Restore Serum <<

The iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum is a fantastic anti-aging serum with a very high concentration of Snail Secretion Filtrate (70%). If you have been reading my blog for a while now, you probably already know that I LOVE Snail Mucin! I love Snail Mucin in my sheet masks, cleansers, serum, moisturizers, and essences. I cannot get enough of this amazing ingredient. Of course, I just had to try the Black Snail Restore Serum, the first ingredient is Snail Secretion Filtrate!

Besides for Snail Mucin, this serum is packed with amazing ingredients. Based on the ingredients list, this serum is great for brightening, firming, hydrating, and keeping skin looking youthful. I am so impressed with the quality of this serum, there are no fillers in the ingredients list! There are so many expensive serums on the market that are basically just water or fillers with a sprinkle of great skincare ingredients. This serum is the real deal.

I have been using this serum on and off for the last few months, and the bottle is finally almost empty. The serum always feels so clean and pure when I apply it to my skin, and I love to use it after applying treatment serums. I can't say that this serum has any lasting anti-aging benefits because I don't use it consistently, but I do notice my skin looking radiant whenever I add the Black Snail Restore Serum to my routine.

Key Ingredients:
  • Black Snail Secretion Filtrate (70%)- skin-restoring
  • Black Superfoods (black beans, black rice, black sesame, kelp, eggplant)- antioxidants
  • Centella Asiatica- heals and repairs skin
  • Fermented Ingredients (mistletoe and soybean ferment extract)- increases skin moisture and helps repair skin damage
How To Use:
After toning, apply a few drops of serum to your palms and pat into your skin. Follow up with a moisturizer.

Full Ingredients List:
Snail Secretion Filtrate, Centella Asiatica Leaf Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Glycereth-26, Water, Sodium Hyaluronate, Saccharomyces/Viscum Album (Mistletoe) Ferment Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Laminaria Japonica Extract, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Extract, Solanum Melongena (Eggplant) Fruit Extract, Saccharomyces/Imperata Cylindrica Root Ferment Extract, Allantoin, Centella Asiatica Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Artemisia Vulgaris Extract, Vaccinum Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Rosa Canina Fruit oil, Carbomer, Arginine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Adenosine, Xanthan Gum, Pentylene Glycol, Aspalathus Linearis Extract, Commiphora Myrrha Resin Extract, Perilla Frutescens Leaf Extract, Yucca Schidigera Root Extract

>> Final Thoughts <<

I thoroughly enjoyed both of these products, and I am going to be purchasing the cleansing oil in the future. I already recommend the cleansing oil to my best friend and she is obsessed with how well it removes makeup!

iUNIK definitely got my attention with these fantastic products. I am definitely interested in trying their Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum next. Propolis is one of my favorite skincare ingredients, it's right up there with snail secretion!

I hope you enjoyed this review of iUNIK skincare! If you want to read more of my skincare reviews, check out the Skincare Reviews Series tab at the top of this page. I have so many amazing skincare reviews coming soon so stay tuned!
