Hey everyone! Today I'm going to share with you my favorite products for keeping my lips smooth all winter long. I really only have two steps, but I use a lot of different lip balms depending on my mood.
Step 1:
Apply lip serum. I really love the one from Fresh. It is not very moisturizing, but it really helps with cell turnover and keeps lips from peeling.
Step 2:
Apply lip balm. I like to apply Smith's lip balm right after applying the lip serum. These are really great for keeping your lips hydrated. If you don't like jar lip balms, they make a few of their flavors in tube form. My favorites are the Strawberry and Minted Rose balms. The strawberry one is colorless and really smells like strawberries. The Minted Rose smells very minty and it is tinted red so it gives your lips some color. Both are really great options,
I also like to apply lip balm throughout the day to stay hydrated, especially after eating/drinking and before going out in the cold. Below are a few of my favorites for on the go hydration:
Burt's Bees has always been a favorite of mine. It is very thick, and helps a lot when your lips are already chapped. They now make a tinted version which I love as well, although it is not as effective as the original.
Fresh makes some great lip balms. They are tinted and have an SPF, but they are pretty pricey for a lip balm. I usually get them in sets.
I was never really a fan of ChapStick, but I really do like their Total Hydration line. It is ultra soothing and doesn't feel like you are applying toxic chemicals to your lips.
My new favorite lip balm is actually from Tarte. This is their new tinted lip balm from their Rainforest collection. It provides a surprising amount of hydration and gives your lips the most amazing color. I have been reaching for this one a lot over the last two weeks.
I hope this post was helpful!
