Hey Everyone!
It took me a while to actually buy the Tarte Make Believe In Yourself palette, but since I made the purchase I have been using it constantly! I absolutely love the glitter in all the shades. They go on so smoothly, and I have had no issues with getting the color to show up on my lid. The palette itself has a scent that reminds me of the Too Faced Chocolate palettes. If you like wearing glitter on your face, this is definitely the palette for you!
Inside Look:
The palette includes 9 glitter shades, 1 matte shade, and 1 highlighter (center shade). You definitely get more color when applying with your fingers, but I always use brushes and have no issues.
If you read my last two tutorials, you noticed that I use this palette a lot, but I have been supplementing with other palettes. I haven't created a look using only this palette yet, so I decided to do that today and give you the step by step instructions for recreating the look.
- Apply Tarte Clean Slate 360 Creaseless 12-Hr Smoothing Eye Primer
- Set primer with the shade Myth
- Apply the shade Magic to the crease and blend
- Apply the shade Fairy to the outer half of the lid
- Apply the shade Mystic to the inner half of the lid
- Apply the shade Dream to the center of the lid
- Apply the shade Marvel to the center of the lid
- Smudge the shade Magic on lower lash line
- Smudge the shade Fairy on lower lash line
- Apply highlighter (center shade) to the brow bone and inner corner of the eye
- Line lower lash line with a matching bright liner (I used MUFE Aqua XL in the shade I-24)
- Apply two coats of mascara (I used Marc Jacobs Omega Lash in Blacquer)
Finished Look:
As you can tell, this is a daytime look. If you want to jazz it up, I would suggest applying a dramatic black wing liner to the top lashes and maybe some false lashes.
