Hey Beauty Lovers!
If you don't know, I spend quite a bit every month on K-Beauty products. I mainly buy skincare, but once in a while, I will buy makeup and/or body care. You can find all my haul posts by clicking the Hauls Series tab at the top of this page. If you go to my hauls page, you may notice that I went from shopping at Sephora to exclusively buying K-Beauty products over the years that I have been blogging.
Honestly, Sephora sells amazing products for skincare and makeup. The problems began when they started to sell more K-Beauty brands. I eventually tried out skincare from the brands Dr. Jart+, Amore Pacific, and Laneige. The products were pretty expensive, they were sold at Sephora after all, but the results were amazing! I started buying more and more K-Beauty products and K-Beauty-inspired products from Sephora, but I also started doing some research on Korean skincare.
I noticed that there were a lot of K-Beauty brands being sold in the US, and a lot of them had shops in NYC. A little over a year ago, I decided to check out the Besfren Beauty shop on 5th Avenue. I was a little nervous to go in, but I pushed myself to finally open the door. I was instantly transported to the candy shops of skincare. All the packaging was bright and fun, and there were two salespeople smiling at me.
I left Besfren Beauty will a bag full of new skincare, one of which was a box of the Papa Recipe Bombee Whitening Honey sheet masks. I started using the products I purchased as soon as I got home, and I have been hooked on K-Beauty ever since. I was reminded of this story when I saw my May 2019 Beauty Haul which includes a box of the Papa Recipe Bombee Black Honey sheet masks. I am so thankful that I found out about K-Beauty, my skin has never looked better!
May 2019 K-Beauty Haul:
- Dewytree Myung Bonan Mask (box of 10 masks)- It's hard to tell from its name, but this is a brightening sheet mask. I am obsessed with Dewytree sheet masks. They are affordable and give my skin a fantastic glow. I picked up three versions of the Bonan sheet mask line in May, and so far I love them all. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this mask for sensitive skin.
- Dewytree Yun Bonan Mask (box of 10 masks)- This Bonan mask is formulated with ginseng extract. It is perfect for rough skin, and it will make your skin glow. As with the sheet mask above, this mask will not be great for sensitive skin.
- Dewytree Jung Bonan Mask (box of 10 masks)- This is my favorite of the Bonan masks I've tried. It is formulated with black bamboo, and it is meant for clarifying the skin. I use this mask once in a while to help keep my pores clean. As with the other Bonan masks, I do not think this mask is suitable for sensitive skin.
- Papa Recipe Bombee Black Honey Masks (box of 10 masks)- Finally, a sheet mask in my haul that can be used on sensitive skin! Unless you are sensitive to fragrance, I would definitely suggest trying this mask. The Bombee Honey line smells amazing, and they will make your skin so soft. The Black version is no exception. I save these for days when I need an extra boost of self-care.
- Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence- This is a repurchase for me. I use 4 layers of this essence twice daily, and my skin is so smooth. I will always be making sure that I have a backup of this amazing essence. It can be used on any skin type including sensitive skin. It is one of my HG skincare products.
- Lapalette Beauty Green Milk Tea Hand Cream- I am addicted to hand creams. I love the way they feel, I love the way they smell, and I love that I never get cracked hands. I always need a few hand creams on hand. I keep one in my purse, one in my desk drawer, and one on my dresser. I took a chance on these Lapalette creams and bought all three varieties. The Green Milk Tea smells so good! I think it is actually my second favorite of the three creams.
- Lapalette Jasmin Milk Tea Hand Cream- The Jasmin Milk Tea cream is my favorite scent. I actually thought that I would like this cream the least, o I saved it for last. I actually think that I need to get backups of this cream, that's how much I love it.
- Lapalette Beauty Rose Milk Tea Hand Cream- I thought I would like this scent the most, I usually love Rose scented products. It smelled nice, but I'm surprised that I liked the other two scents more. The Rose Milk Tea cream is now empty, and I probably won't purchase it again. I like the other ones a lot more.
- Skinfood Bitter Green Soothing Clay Facial Mask- This product was recommended to me by a Reddit user, and I am so happy that I decided to try it. This clay mask is also a physical exfoliator, and it makes my skin glow like crazy. I like to use it at least once a week, and I haven't had any breakouts since introducing it into my routine. This mask is definitely not recommended for sensitive skin.
Just so you know, I did purchase all these products with my own money. These products were not gifted or sent to me for free.
