Fleur & Bee Skincare Review

>> Hello 2020 <<

Hey Beauty Lovers!

Happy New Year!

I really can't believe it's already 2020!

Fleur & Bee sent me some of their products at the end of 2019, and I finally tested out everything from the package*.

As you know, I like to review gifted skincare products on my blog after I get a chance to test them thoroughly. I know that a lot of bloggers like to give first impression-type reviews, but when it comes to skincare I like to see how my skin reacts to each product for at least four weeks.

>> Fleur & Bee <<

Fleur & Bee is an All-Natural and Clean Beaty skincare brand. All of their products are natural, vegan, and cruelty-free. The brand is Leaping Bunny certified, bottled in the USA, and everything is dermatologist tested to be safe for all skin types.

What does it mean to be a Clean Beauty brand?

Clean Beauty products are made without some common skin irritants (although some are not dangerous for most of the population). The irritants omitted from Fleur & Bee products include gluten, sulfates, parabens, and artificial fragrances.

In addition to all the great things I just mentioned, Fleur & Bee donates 1% of all sales to Days For Girls. This amazing organization helps provide access to menstrual care and education to girls in need. I absolutely love when brands donate a percentage of their sales to worthy charities, and I try to support those brands in any way possible.

>> The Products <<

Right now, Fleur & Bee has 5 products, but I was sent this package when they only had four of them. They recently released a cleanser that will not be part of this review.

The products I was sent to review:

Check out the unboxing photos below!

>> Eyes Eyes Baby <<

The Eyes Eyes Baby Anti-Aging Eye Cream ($22) is a nice everyday eye cream that comes in a beautiful glass jar. I find that the product is not too thick, but it's also not too thin even though it has a creamy consistency. The cream sinks in very quickly, and it layers nicely under eye makeup. I love that it is unscented because I hate putting fragrant products so close to my sensitive eyes.

Since I am prone to milia (those bumps that can develop under the eye),  I was a little nervous about trying out this eye cream. Thankfully, I didn't get the dreaded under-eye bumps that I normally get with thick eye creams!

I like to use this eye cream in the mornings only. I honestly just don't like using anything too heavy for the evenings.

Key Ingredients (Not A Full List):
  • Vitamin B3 (AKA Niacinamide)- I absolutely love using skincare products with Niacinamide. It is really a superpower skincare ingredient that will help with most signs of aging.
  • Caffeine- If you aren't using an eye cream with caffeine, and you have puffy eyes in the morning, you are in for a fantastic treat! Caffeine will help depuff the eyes and make the skin look rejuvenated.
  • Matrixyl 3000 (A natural peptide)- This peptide acts as a skin smoother, so it is great for all those fine lines around the eyes!
  • Vitamin E- I love having Vitamin E in every product I apply to my skin. This vitamin is a powerful antioxidant that also acts to hydrate the skin. It is a great addition to any formula.
  • Squalane (From olives, not sharks!)- If I could drench my skin in squalane I would. This is a better formulation than squalene, so don't confuse them! This ingredient will save your skin barrier and help keep your skin so smooth.
  • Organic Green Tea- Green Tea is an amazing source of antioxidants. It is one of my favorite antioxidant sources in skincare that will also help keep your skin clear.
  • Organic Aloe Vera- I am always excited to see Aloe Vera in skincare. Aloe is very nourishing and contains a lot of vitamins that will keep your skin healthy.

Price: $22 for 0.6oz

The ingredients are listed in a different order on the website, so I will include it here too!

Full Ingredient List:
Deionized Water, Glycerin (Kosher, Vegetable), Organic Sunflower Seed Oil, Stearic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Safflower Seed Oil, Organic Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Squalane (From Olive Oil), Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Tocopheryl (Vitamin E) Acetate, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Caffeine, Organic Gotu Kola Extract, Italian Honeysuckle Flower Extract, Isopropyl Palmitate, Japanese Honeysuckle Leaf Extract, Decyl Glucoside, Wild Geranium Extract, Glyceryl Caprylate, Sodium Carbomer, Horsetail Extract, Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, Organic Dandelion Extract, Polysorbate 20, Lecithin, Alcohol, Algae Extract, Escin, Potassium Phosphate, Lavender Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Organic Green Tea Extract, Pomegranate Fruit Extract

>> Creme de la Cream <<

The Creme de la Cream is a very heavy cream that comes in a large glass jar. I actually did not enjoy using this moisturizer on my face because it was a little too heavy for me. Every time I used this cream, I broke out! I tried using it as a day cream and a night cream, but it just didn't work well for me. I ended up using this as a neck cream so that I can actually write my review!

I use this cream on my neck twice a day, and it is amazing for hydration. It didn't have a strong scent, so you don't have to worry about that. I can't say what it will do for your face, but I can say that it will be amazing for very dehydrated skin types, especially aging skin. Every skin is different, so please take a look at the ingredients list before you decide to skip this cream.

Key Ingredients (Not A Full List):
  • Glycerin- This is a fantastic ingredient to include in a moisturizer. It really helps lock in all the hydration you just applied to your skin, and it won't clog your pores.
  • Vitamin C- Vitamin C is great for brightening your skin. It will help give you that healthy glow and it will also help lighten hyperpigmentation. The Vitamin C included in creams are usually not as concentrated as serums, so if you want results faster, use a serum too!
  • Vitamin E- Like I mentioned above, Vitamin E is fantastic for your skin.
  • Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide)- Again, I absolutely love Niacinamide in skincare. It can be irritating to a few people, so keep that in mind!
  • Coenzyme Q10 (AKA Ubiquinone)- This antioxidant is great to have in your skincare if you are worried about any signs of aging. CoQ10 can help cells rebuild collagen and elastin. It is also a more potent antioxidant than Vitamin E!
  • Organic Aloe Vera- Yes! I love that both the eye cream and face cream includes Aloe Vera! This will definitely help soothe your skin.
  • Organic Green Tea- I'm happy that Green Tea is also included in the face cream. Honestly, it's the one ingredient that I want to see in every product.
  • Acai Berry- Another great antioxidant! This cream is literally packed with antioxidants, and I can only use it on my neck. This is such a shame.

Honestly, the ingredients list for the face cream looks very similar to the list for the eye cream. I wish the face cream included squalane, and I wish that the eye cream included ubiquinone!

Price: $24 for 1.5oz

Again, there seems to be a difference between the list on the product and the list on the website.

Full Ingredient List:
Deionized Water, Glycerin (Kosher, Vegetable), Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Organic Sunflower Seed Oil, Stearic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Safflower Seed Oil , Organic Aloe Leaf Juice, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Tocopheryl (Vitamin E) Acetate, Organic Gotu Kola Extract, Italian Honeysuckle Flower Extract, Japanese Honeysuckle Leaf Extract, Horsetail Extract, Wild Geranium Extract, Organic Dandelion Extract, Acai Fruit Extract, Ubiquinone (Coenzyme Q10), Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Isopropyl Palmitate, Decyl Glucoside, Glyceryl Caprylate, Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, Sodium Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Organic Green Tea Leaf Extract, Pomegranate Fruit Extract

>> Nectar of the C <<

The Nectar of the C is a pretty strong Vitamin C serum that comes in a glass bottle with a dropper. I can honestly say that this is one of the best Vitamin C serums I have ever reviewed on my blog. It is formulated with fantastic ingredients that will really help prevent signs of aging. I love that this serum includes a lower concentration of Vitamin C because that makes it more gentle. You will still get the same effects, but it will just take longer to notice the lightening effects.

The serum has a thick liquid consistency, and it has a cloudy yellow/orange color. It smells like citrus, but it is natural citrus scent. The serum never stung my skin, but I can tolerate a pretty high dose of Vitamin C, so use some caution. I used this serum every morning and the bottle lasted me a little over two months.

Just a tip: since Vitamin C degrades so quickly, you can store this serum in the fridge to help the product stay fresh longer. This serum is formulated with a stable form of Vitamin C, so you won't have to store it in the fridge if you use it daily.

Key Ingredients (Not A Full List):
  • Vitamin C- This serum contains 15% Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP). SAP is a stable form of Vitamin C, so it will stay fresh for a few months. If you use the serum every day, you will probably use the bottle up before the SAP starts to degrade. In addition to giving your face a glow, Vitamin C also helps with collagen production.
  • Vitamin E- Vitamin C works best when mixed with Vitamin E, so this formulation is great!
  • Ferulic Acid- Ferulic Acid (FA) is another antioxidant. FA enhances the stability of Vitamins C and E, and it helps to prevent environmental damage.
  • Organic Aloe Vera- I love it when Aloe is included in serums. Vitamin C can be harsh on the skin, so Aloe will help soothe some of that irritation.
  • Organic Jojoba- This wonderful oil will help keep your skin moisturized without clogging your pores. This oil can be enjoyed by all skin types, including oily skin!
  • Clary Sage- Clary Sage is an essential oil that helps soothe irritated skin and balance the skin. It will help with any excess oil and keep breakouts away. It is safe to use on all skin types, including dry skin.
  • Chamomile- Chamomile has anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, antibacterial, and antiseptic properties. It is also a nice source of antioxidants, so this ingredient will help so many different skin concerns!

Price: $28 for 1oz

Again, the ingredients lists are in a different order. It is possible that all the products were reformulated.

Full Ingredient List:
Deionized Water, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Organic Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Glycerin (Kosher, Vegetable), Organic Jojoba Seed Oil, Tocopheryl (Vitamin E) Acetate, Hydrolyzed Tara Gum, Tara Gum, Ferulic Acid, Matricaria (Chamomile) Extract, Glyceryl Caprylate, Xanthan Gum, Sd Alcohol 40-B, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Pink Grapefruit Peel Oil, Clary Sage Flower Oil

>> Rose and Shine <<

The Rose and Shine is the reason I am writing this review so late! I have so many toners in my skincare drawer, that I just couldn't get to this one until last month. I absolutely love that this toner comes in a glass spray bottle because the mist is very refreshing in the morning.

My skin is obsessed with rose water, so this toner was perfect for me. The Rose and Shine toner has a pretty strong rose fragrance, so only purchase this toner if you enjoy rose scented products. I have been using this toner on weekends in the morning, and my skin just drinks it up. I like to spray it directly onto my face or into my hands.

FYI, you can keep this toner in the fridge during the warm months for a cool treat!

Key Ingredients (Not A Full List):
  • Rose Flower Oil- Rose oil is a superstar skincare ingredient! It has been used for centuries as a beauty treatment, and for a very good reason. Rose oil is anti-inflammatory, helps moisturize the skin, helps brighten the skin, and helps soften the skin. It is also known as an anti-aging ingredient.

Price: $18 for 2oz

Finally, the ingredients list matches the online list!

Full Ingredient List:
Distilled Water, Rose Flower Oil

>> Final Thoughts <<

Overall, I am very impressed with Fleur & Bee products.

I absolutely love all the glass packaging, and the color scheme is beautiful! Everything is very luxe, from the boxes to the labels, and the lids stay on perfectly. The dropper and mister also worked perfectly the whole time.

The formulations are fantastic! I love the all-natural ingredients, and each product contains something unique. Everything included was high quality, and I like that the products weren't overly fragrant. Now that they added a cleanser to their line, you can actually create an entire skincare routine from the brand!

My skin loved everything except the face cream, but it may work for your skin. If you are not sensitive to any of the ingredients, I highly recommend trying it out. I honestly don't know why I kept breaking out from the cream, but your skin may react differently than mine.

Since all the products are under $30 and they are available on Amazon, I will be adding the Vitamin C serum and eye cream to my wish list.
