Hey Beauty Lovers!
Now that I'm 31, I am feeling a lot more confident without any makeup. I am comfortable leaving the house with nothing but tinted sunscreen on my face when I drop my daughter off at daycare, and my skin has been looking a lot better without my daily foundation.
I decided that I will be going foundation-free for the whole year of 2020 (blog post coming soon), and this includes finishing powders, powder blushes, powder highlighters, and powder bronzers. I have fine lines, and I hate how powders settle in my many creases. Since going foundation-free, I have noticed that my skin stays a lot more hydrated all day, and my fine lines are almost invisible!
So what do I use when I need to go out?
Of course, I still use a ton of eye products, so I definitely look like I am wearing makeup. But, on my actual face, I only use cream products! I have been using cream blushes, cream bronzers, and cream highlighters. Not only do they look very natural, but they also give my face a stunning glow!
I really wish I got into the cream makeup trend years ago. My makeup now enhances my natural skin instead of covering every spot. I experience fewer breakouts, and I can remove my makeup a lot easier at the end of the day.
If you are looking for a great cream blush/lipstick, you need to read more about the Zoja Beauty Girl Boss Multitasker Sticks*!
>> Zoja Beauty <<
Zoja Beauty is a Clean Beauty brand that makes small-batch makeup products in eco-friendly packaging. All the Zoja Beauty products are cruelty-free, vegan, and made in the US.
Most of the cosmetics from Zoja Beauty can be found in cardboard packaging, which I absolutely love! I honestly wish that more cosmetics companies would stop using so much plastic in their packaging, it is literally just sitting in our landfills!
In addition to being amazingly eco-friendly, Zoja Beauty products are made with clean ingredients. I try to use natural makeup and skincare whenever possible, so it is really nice when I find a brand with amazing products.
Finally, I am loving the founder of Zoja Beauty, Sara Kaitlyn. From the few times we interacted on Instagram, I can tell that she is so sweet and kind. She has her own Instagram page and website, so feel free to check her out!
>> Girl Boss Multitasker Sticks <<
I was sent these amazing all-over color sticks many months ago, and I have been using them ever since!
I love to use the same color on my cheeks and lips, I find that these sticks give amazing color payoff wherever they are used. They are also very easy to blend, so it only takes a few seconds to get a beautiful flush of color.
The Girl Boss Multitasker Sticks are formulated with Castor Oil, Jojoba Oil, Jasmine Floral Wax, and Shea Butter. This means that your lips and/or cheeks won't dry out with regular use!
The Multitaskers come in five colors: Boss, Bliss, Intuition, Peace, and Ardor. Each shade costs $19.99 and you get more product than a traditional lipstick bullet.
See the shades swatched below:
Swatches left to right: Ardor, Peace, Intuition, Bliss, and Boss
he swatches shown are only one swipe, and as you can see, the colors are all very vibrant. I have been using the shade Bliss the most, but I really do love them all!
Sarah Kaitlyn was kind enough to send me a few shades in her new formula, so I gave my mother the older formula to try. Both formulations are amazing, so don't worry about which one you receive. Since I gave them to my mom, she has been obsessed with using them as blush. She wears them all the time, and it looks great on her slightly darker skin tone.
>> Final Thoughts <<
I am so impressed with the Girl Boss Multitaskers! I am using them a ton, and a little goes a very long way!
Now that I'm not using powder blushes, I am reaching for these cream sticks a lot more often. I normally apply the color to my lips and cheeks with my fingers, but a brush would work too. The only thing I don't recommend is to apply the product with the tube, you may end up with too much color!
Since these are formulated with natural butters, make sure to let the sticks cool for a day before opening them after they arrive. Otherwise, you may end up with a melted mess!
