Hey Beauty Lovers!
Now that I posted my December 2019 Beauty Product Empties, it's time for some Sheet Mask Empties!
Every month I try to use 1-2 sheet masks a day. Lately, I have been coming up short, but every month I get a fresh start. Daily sheet masking is great for dry and mature skin types, but keep in mind that it produces a lot of waste! I only recommend sheet masking so often if your skin really needs the extra TLC. Otherwise, you can try masking 1-3 times a week, depending on how your skin reacts to the treatment.
Alternatively, you can always buy the sheet masks that come in a tub. I haven't tried these yet, but I have seen so many great reviews. Let me know in the comments if you want me to review these multi-pack sheet masks.
>> December 2019 Sheet Mask Empties <<
I used a total of 18 sheet masks in December! That's definitely not 1 per day, but it's double the number of sheet masks I used in November.
So far, I am using a lot more sheet masks this month, but we will see the final number at the end of the month.
Let's get right into the empties!
- JayJun Anti-Dust Whitening Mask (x2)- I have loved these for a year, and I still think that the JayJun Anti-Dust line is fantastic! This is a three-step mask that I like to use during the day. It includes a whitening sheet mask (step 1), an ampoule (step 2), and an eye cream/corrector (step 3). The eye cream can also act as a highlighter, so I recommend applying it to any spot you normally highlight with concealer. It is perfect for no-makeup days!
- JayJun Real Water Brightening Black Mask (x2)- This is one of my favorite travel sheet masks! It is also a three-step mask, and it can be used at any time of the day. It comes with a cleanser (step 1), an essence (step 2), and a brightening sheet mask (step 3). The sheet itself is black, so keep that in mind before scaring anyone! Overall, this is a fantastic mask!
- Dewytree Jung Bonan Mask- Dewytree masks are amazing, but the Bonan line is extra special. I have fallen in love with the Bonan masks as soon as I tried them, and they are still among my favorites. The Jung Bonan mask is great for congested skin. Its main ingredient is black bamboo which helps clarify the pores. I love using this mask so much! It always feels very refreshing.
- Dewytree Vitamin Blooming Face Mask- Again, Dewytree makes some fantastic sheet masks. The Blooming mask line is amazing! The Vitamin version is great for brightening, and I love to use it in the mornings. My face looks radiant all day long! These masks come in boxes with 8 masks, so they are a little more expensive than the other Dewytree masks. I will be repurchasing these masks soon!
- Dewytree Rose It's Pure Mask- I feel like a broken record, but this is another great mask from Dewytree! Unlike the brightening mask I just mentioned, the It's Pure Rose mask gives you more of a subtle glow. Again, I like to use this mask in the mornings, and my skin looks amazing all day. Another mask I will be repurchasing soon.
- Elensilia IntraCELL Escargot + Propolis Revitalizing Mask- I am consistently repurchasing the Revitalizing mask from Elensilia. I first discovered this mask when I visited Besfren Beauty in NYC about two years ago. Since then, I have repurchased these in sets of ten at least five times. I am OBSESSED with this mask! It is amazing for aging skin because it is a do-it-all mask. It is brightening, hydrating, nourishing, firming, and soothing mask because it is formulated with Propolis. I highly recommend checking this mask out if you are new to K-Beauty!
- Elensilia IntraCELL Escargot + Placenta Firming Mask- Like the Revitalizing mask, the Firming mask is great for aging skin. Instead of Propolis, the main ingredient for this mask is Placenta extract. I know that it sounds gross, but I promise it is just an extract, not an actual placenta! Placenta extract is great for anti-aging and loss of elasticity. I have purchased these masks a few times, and I will definitely repurchase them again soon!
- Leaders Mediu Amino Lifting Mask- As you can tell, I love anti-aging skincare. The Amino Lifting Mask is formulated with Amino Acids, Vitamin A (retinol), and Collagen. Together, these ingredients help improve visible signs of aging. However, you need to use this sheet mask consistently to see any results. I would recommend using this mask at least three times a week if you have fine lines that you want to smooth out.
- Leaders Mediu Amino Propolis Mask- Of course, I had to get the Amino Propolis Mask. Propolis is definitely one of my favorite skincare ingredients, so I picked this mask up during a sale. This mask is also formulated with Black Honey which is the star ingredient of my all-time favorite Papa Recipe Bombee Black Honey mask. This Leaders mask is a great alternative to the Papa Recipe one, so get the one that is on sale!
- Be Plain Bamboo Healing Mask*- If you are looking for a natural and clean K-Beauty brand, Be Plain is one of the best. They have some fantastic products available on Amazon, and this mask is one of them. This mask is especially great for damaged, acne-prone, and sensitive skin types. The main ingredient is Bamboo Water which is great for soothing the skin. I love that they include a ton of essence in this mask, so be prepared!
- Elakoko Noni Enriched Brightening Nourishing Mask*- The Elakoko Noni Enriched Brightening Mask nother great brightening mask. What makes this mask stand out is the inclusion of the intensely nourishing Noni Extract. Since this is a brightening mask, I prefer to use it in the morning. It is especially a great mask to use before makeup application to help keep your skin smooth and bright.
- JM Solution Glow Luminous Aurora Mask- As you can tell, I love brightening masks! I also love JM Solution masks, so the Glow Luminous Aurora is actually a repurchase. The essence is so creamy and the sheet is so soft! I love to use this mask as a treat when I'm having a rough morning. My skin looks amazing all day long, and it feels very hydrated. This is one of my favorite brightening masks!
- Mother Made Deep Moisturizing Rich Snail Mask*- Another nourishing mask is the Mother Made Rich Snail Mask. I was expecting this mask to have a creamy essence like the JM Solution mask, but it is a thick slippery essence instead. It does have a strange texture, but that is probably due to the high concentration of Snail Mucin. I love to use this mask when my skin needs some extra TLC.
- Mustus Daily Harvest Squeeze Power Up Mask- I am loving the Daily Harvest masks from Mustus. They remind me of the Papa Recipe Bombee Fruitables masks, so get whichever ones are cheaper. The Power Up mask is similar to the Red Squeeze mask from Papa Recipe. It is great for improving the condition of your skin as it helps hydrate, firm, and soften the skin. I am really impressed with this mask!
- Etude House Green Tea Therapy Air Mask- If you need an affordable mask for daily masking, the Etude House Therapy Air Masks are amazing. They have a great variety of masks for every skin concern, and I have tried three of them so far. The Green Tea version is great for all skin types, and it will improve your skin with one use! I highly recommend having a few of these in your stash!
- Mediheal Platinum V-Life Mask- The Platinum V-Life mask was one of the first lifting sheet masks I've tried, and I still love it! Mediheal masks are very special. The essence is watery and the sheet feels so refreshing. With this mask, you will notice immediate hydration, but you will have to use this mask a few times a week to see any lifting benefits. I still recommend it, just get a box or two at a time.
>> Final Thoughts <<
I honestly don't have anything negative to say about any of the masks I used in December. Some are definitely better quality than others, but they all work really well.
If I had to choose a favorite, it would have to be the Dewytree Jung Bonan Mask. It is such an amazing mask, and I think anyone with congested skin should try it!
