>>Facial Brushes<<
If you love the smooth clean feeling of a face scrub, you will love using a facial brush.
There are two types of brushes; ones with bristles that need to be replaced (like the Clarisonic) and ones with silicone bristles that are permanently attached to the brush (like the Foreo Luna).
In my experience, silicone brushes are more hygienic and more gentle for your skin. However, with any facial brush, you should only use it 1-2 times a week. Over-exfoliation is a huge problem for the skin barrier, and brushes make it very easy to go overboard.
>>Foreo Luna<<
I have had my Foreo Luna Mini for about 4 years, and it's still going strong. I personally love that I don't have to purchase brush heads and that the battery lasts for months.
In my opinion, the Foreo Luna is the best facial brush on the market. It is gentle, thoroughly exfoliates the skin, you don't have to charge the battery often, and it is anti-bacterial. There are larger sizes, but the mini works just as well, so don't spend the extra money. I have a really old review of my Foreo Luna Mini here.
However, at $99, even the Foreo Luna Mini isn't affordable for everyone. Fortunately, I am here today with a more affordable dupe.
While there are quite a few alternatives/dupes available on Amazon, most of them break fairly quickly and they are not worth the price.
>>Sunmay Leaf- Foreo Luna Dupe<<
UPDATE: The Sunmay Leaf is no longer available. I will be linking to their current model instead.
My favorite dupe for the Foreo Luna is the Sunmay Leaf*. This device costs $36.99, so it is a lot more affordable than the Foreo Luna. The reason I like this brush over the cheaper ones on Amazon is that it doesn't break within a few months.
I have been using the Sunmay Leaf for over a year, and I haven't had any issues with the device. I am able to bring the brush into the shower, and I can use it with any cleanser (except clay-based cleansers). I haven't had any bacteria or mold issues, and the device remembers your last setting used.
The Sunmay Leaf does everything the Foreo Luna can do:
Overall, the Sunmay Leaf is a fantastic choice for a fraction of the Foreo price. I highly recommend this brush.
The brush comes in so many colors, including the new Tiffany Blue which is stunning. If you end up getting this dupe, let me know if you like it!

The Sunmay Leaf does everything the Foreo Luna can do:
- Made from anti-bacterial silicon
- 100% waterproof
- Rechargable
- Multiple vibration settings (Sunmay has 15 settings!)
- Interval timer
- No interchangeable head
- Heaver exfoliation with the back brush (I'm not going to show you the back because I really didn't enjoy using that side. It was way too rough for any skin type, and I don't recommend ever using those bristles.)
Added benefits of the Sunmay Leaf:
- Lighter than the Foreo Luna
- Pointed tip to help exfoliate around the nose
- Timer lasts for 2 minutes
The only negative thing I have to say about the Sunmay Leaf is that the battery lasts only half the time of the Foreo Luna. It's not a huge deal, 1.5 months is a long time for a battery to last with daily use!
