Hey everyone! Today I'm going to be reviewing the Urban Decay Naked Flushed palette in Native ($34 purchased at Sephora) and the Urban Decay Naked Flushed Brush ($24 purchased at Sephora). The palette is now called Going Native, and the double ended brush is longer being sold. You can get the brush on ebay, or you can buy the brushes separately for $32 each at Sephora. The box for this palette is very cute with a nude background, gold letters, and swatches of the colors on the front.
The back of the box gives a preview of what comes inside the palette, a bronzer, highlighter, and blush. This is a very good travel palette, or even an everyday palette.
Opening the box, you get a plastic case with magnetic closure. The case is very slim and simple, with just a nude background and gold letters.
Opening the palette, you get a nice sized mirror, a large bronzer, small highlughter, and medium blush. These sizes are not small and will last a while. For the Native palette, the bronzer and highlighter are both shimmer shades, and the blush is matte. I really enjoy the bronzer for contouring (not for bronzing the whole face) and the highlighter for highlighting my cheekbones, nose, inner corners of my eyes, and brow bone. The highlighter is a little difficult to work with and the color is a little too bright for my taste, but I do like to use it sparingly in the summer time. There are other colors for this palette with alternate blushes that I like better, but I purchased this palette for the bronzer and highlighter shades.
Here you can see the colors swatched on my fair skin. These shades work very well for my skin color, and the highlighter is absolutely breathtaking. If you have fair skin, I recommend trying out the Native palette.
When I purchased this palette, I also purchased the Naked Flushed Brush. It features the Diffusing Blush Brush on one end, and the Diffusing Highlighter Brush on the other end. I don't actually use this brush for blush, I use it for my contour instead, but I really like the highlighting side for applying highlighter. It helps you get a more subtle highlight.
