Hey Everyone! Once a month I order a bunch of products from Sephora. Most of the time they are skincare related, but once in a while I order some new makeup products that I have been wanting to try. As much as I love makeup, skincare is always more important to me. I love being able to go out of the house with just some CC or BB cream and feel amazing. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love going out full glam too!!!! When I order from Sephora, I order each item separately so that I can get samples in each package. This works for me because I get free 2 day shipping as a VIB Rouge member (I spend a minimum of $1000 a year at the store!!!), but you can also pay $10 for 2 day shipping for a year. There is no minimum for the 2 day shipping, so I think it is definitely worth the $10. Anyways, as you can see in the pic above, I ordered three items this month and so I got three boxes at my door!
Let's get to unboxing!
With my three items, I also got a s*%# ton of samples! I always love to post my overall Sephora haul on Instagram, so if you aren't already following me, I will link my page here. So what did I purchase this month and why?
First on my list was to restock my Ole Henriksen Power Bright at home facial kit. This kit comes with 6 treatments that can be split into 12. I use it once a week to help brighten up my complexion, so this kit lasts for 3 months! This kit is literally like bringing the Ole Henriksen spa to your home for a lot less than normal ($55 for the 6 treatments). I will be reviewing this product in full shortly, so look out for the link here.
Next up is another restock item: the Caudalie Grape Water. This facial water is super cheap ($13), and I love that they still have the limited edition pink bottle (who doesn't love pink???). I use this spray in the AM and PM after cleansing, and I find that it helps my other skincare products work better. This bottle is not the largest size, but it lasts me a few months even when using twice daily. The full review for this product is linked here.
Next up is a new item that I have been wanting to try for a while. I usually use the Dr. Dennis Gross alpha beta peel daily, but now that I'm pregnant, I had to find a daily glycolic acid pad without salicylic acid. These pads had some great reviews, so I'm looking forward to trying them out. Next month I will release a full review for this product and I will compare the results to what I see with the Dr. Dennis Gross pads. Watch out for the review here.
Ok, now onto the samples!
First up, I got two samples of Atelier Cologne in Orange Sanguine. I opened one of the bottles and I was immediately hit with an overpowering orange scent. I'm going to have my husband try these out, but I'm already not liking them too much. It might just be my preggo nose.
Next up is a YSL lipstick sample. It comes with three beautiful shades and a lip brush. I got three of these sets (one in each box, yay!). I'm really excited to try these out. I think the shades are perfect for the Spring.
Next I have my favorite perfume of all time, YSL Black Opium. The scent is so intoxicating, and I love having mini perfume samples to keep in my clutch for a night on the town. Again, I got three of these, yay!
Next we have a sample of an Algenist anti-aging cream. This one time use packet won't help me decide if I want to purchase this product in the future, but I will still try it out since it was free.
I love getting foundation samples because you can really tell if you like the product after one use (unlike an anti-aging moisturizer). I actually haven't tried this foundation yet, so I'm excited to use this. I just hope that this shade works for me. I like when they give a sample with a little of each shade instead of just one. If it's too light, I can always deepen it with Cover FX custom color drops.
With a $25 purchase at Sephora.com, you also get a mini of your choice. Just look for the weekly offers link on the site. This time I got a sample of the IT Cosmetics CC+ cream with SPF 50. I already use this cream daily, but I thought it would be nice to have a travel sized one too. I will write a review for this product and link it here soon.
I also chose the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear concealer. I've never tried this product before, so I'm happy to have gotten such a large sample. I will update you guys soon here.
That's all I got this month in my Sephora haul. I hope you liked it! Write me comment if you want to see more of these in the future!
-Miriam
