October 2017 Beauty Haul

Hey Everyone,

As I mentioned in my September 2017 Sephora Haul, I decided that I no longer wish to spend all my money at Sephora. For October, I decided to give Peter Thomas Roth and Tarte a chance. Both sites were having a sale, so I decided to purchase a few products from the sale section.

From Peter Thomas Roth, I repurchased the Irish Moor Mud Set that I originally purchased at full price from Sephora. I absolutely loved the first set. It was my first time using the gel cleanser, but my 4th time purchasing the mud mask. I really enjoyed the cleanser as my evening second cleanser. The tool that it came with really helps remove all if the mask, and I don't know how I managed until now without it. I purchased this set again mostly because I was running out of the cleanser and it was on sale. I figured I can always use another jar of the mask, so it ended up being a great deal.

I also purchased a Rose Stem-Cell set that I have been eyeing at Sephora for a very long time. The set includes a mini bottle of my favorite AM cleanser, a jar of the Rose Stem-Cell mask, the Mega Rich Eye Cream, and a lip balm. The Rose Stem-Cell kit came in a cute rose case, and it was on sale. I already had a jar of the mask and a bottle of the face wash, but I was running low on both products so I decided to purchase the set. I cannot tell you how I happy I am that I decided to get this. I really love the Mega Rich eye cream, and I would have never tried it if it wasn't in this set. Seriously one of my favorites so far. I ended up using the case to store cotton rounds on my vanity, and it actually looks really cute. The only product I haven't tried yet is the lip balm. I love all Peter Thomas Roth products, so I'm sure that I will love the lip balm.

The annoying thing about ordering outside of Sephora is the shipping minimum. I am really going to miss the free 2-day shipping without minimum purchase. In order to get free shipping on my Peter Thomas Roth products, I added a mini sized Skin to Die For. I haven't tried it yet, but I was more willing to spend $9 on a mini sized product than pay for shipping. The site decided to gift me a 1.7oz jar of the Pumpkin Enzyme mask, one of my favorite face masks, just for shopping from their site. This was on top of sending me some sample packets. I loved that. The jar was the same size as the jars in both sets that I purchased. That alone is convincing me to start shopping directly from brand websites.

I decided to purchase the Swamp Queen palette from Tarte since it was on sale and I have been eyeing at Sephora before it sold out. It is a very cute palette, but nothing very special. I use the blush, highlighter, and bronzer as eye shadow since they look horrible on my skin. I do love Tarte makeup, so I am happy with the purchase. I was already buying my mom a product from their site, so I met their minimum for shipping. I didn't receive any samples from Tarte, but then again, sometimes Sephora withholds my samples too.

Overall I'm pretty happy with my beauty haul for October. As you will see, I did shop at Sephora for November, but it was only because of their 25% off sale for VIB Rouge.
