What are monthly empties?
Essentially, I collect all of the beauty products and sheet masks that I managed to finish throughout the month. I split my empties posts into products and sheet masks, my sheet masks post is so long!
I have quite a large skincare collection at the moment, so I am trying to use what I have open before opening up any new products. It's pretty hard to resist cracking open all the new skincare that I buy and receive (thanks to the brands that support my skincare addiction).
While some of the products in my collection disappear (aka my husband needs skincare too), most of them end up in my Skincare Routines and Beauty Empties posts. If you see that I received something on my IG stories but you don't see them anywhere on my blog, it usually means that I hated the product.
I try to keep my IG and blog a positive place, so I mostly post about products that I enjoy. Negative posts are a rarity, but I will mention sheet masks that I tried and hated.
All right, enough of my rambling. Let's get to the empties...
>>March 2020 Beauty Product Empties<<
- Palmer's Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks- I am now 8 months postpartum, and I am still trying to take care of my belly skin. While I don't get stretch marks from pregnancy, my skin does need a lot of TLC to get back into its original shape. The ingredients for the Palmer's Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks are perfect for skin elasticity, which is what I want after rapid weight gain/loss. This lotion is pretty affordable, so I like to purchase a few bottles at a time.
- Thank You Farmer True Water Light Toner*- I was sent this toner quite a few months ago, and I finally finished the bottle! This is a gentle exfoliating toner that is perfect for the AM. I like to apply this toner with a cotton round, but you can also apply it with your hands. Since this is an exfoliating toner, only use one layer at a time.
- Erno Laszlo Hydra-Therapy Memory Mask*- Ok, I really wanted to hate this sleeping mask. I was sent this mask in a PR package from Erno Laszlo, so I used it pretty liberally. If I knew that this mask costs over $100, I would have used it a lot more sparingly! I love the scent of this mask and how lightweight it feels on the skin. However, I would not recommend it based on the price alone. I just don't think it does enough to justify the huge price tag. I would recommend trying the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask instead, it feels the same on the skin plus it has the added benefit of AHAs.
>>Final Thoughts<<
Overall, I really enjoyed all of the products that I emptied in March. I'm sure that's pretty obvious though since I used every last drop.
The only product I wouldn't recommend is the Erno Laszlo sleeping mask, but I was able to provide a cheaper alternative.
I will be posting my April 2020 Beauty Empties tomorrow, so stay tuned!
