Hey Beauty Lovers!
As you may already know, I am obsessed with the K-Beauty skincare glow. I will slather just about anything onto my skin if it will give me radiant, glass skin. Thankfully, most K-Beauty products are made with fantastic ingredients, so I don't have to worry too much about breakouts! Last month, I visited Besfren Beauty in NYC, and I picked up an amazing face mask from Skin Food. I have heard raving reviews about the Black Sugar Mask, but I never heard about the Rice Mask from the brand. I have read about the many benefits of rice water on my favorite K-Beauty blogs, so I decided to give this mask a try.
Benefits of Rice Water in skincare:
- Brightening
- Anti-inflammatory properties
- Great for acne prone skin
- Contains natural antioxidants
- Heals redness caused by acne and rosacea
- Calms irritated skin
- Tones the skin after cleansing
Directions:
Massage into damp skin for 10-15 min. After the massage, rinse off with lukewarm water.
What I love about this mask:
- Smells AMAZING! Kind of like sweet rice?
- Fells so fluffy when I rub it on my skin
- My skin is so bright and alive after I use this mask
- This is not a messy mask- although I wish they included a spoon
- Inexpensive but effective- you don't need a lot of product, so the jar will last a while
Ingredients:
Water, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cetyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Water, Stearic Acid, Polysorbate 80, Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Sorbitan Stearate, Carbomer, Dimethicone, Triethanolamine, Sodium Acrylates Copolymer, Sucrose Cocoate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Disodium Edta, Methylparaben, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Butylparaben, Fragrance
I wasn't expecting instant results, but this mask left my skin glowing as soon as I washed the product off! The effects lasted well into the next day, and I received so many compliments on my glowing skin. I was even asked if I was pregnant!
I recommend this mask for all skin types, except skin that's sensitive to parabens and fragrance. I like to use it at least once a week, usually on the weekend, to maintain the brightening effects.
After trying this mask, and loving it, I am looking into incorporating a few more rice water skin care products into my routine.
