~ My Sheet Mask Addiction ~

Hello Beauty Lover!

If you found this post, I am guessing that you are as obsessed with sheet masks as I am. Sheet masks have been a part of my routine for 5 years now, and my skin has never been better!

Due to my hectic schedule, I went from masking 1-2 times a day to masking only a few times a week. However, I found that even with reduced masking, my skin has been staying hydrated and bright. This may be a result of stepping up my daily skincare routine, but I like to think that masking more often wouldn't result in any noticeable changes. 

Either way, if you are a mask maven or simply a beginner, I would love to share my opinions on the masks that I used last month.

I typically purchase my sheet masks from Masksheets when they go on sale, but I will share a link to the retailer with the lowest prices at the time of writing this post.

I used a total of 14 sheet masks and emptied two pairs of eye patches last month. I do use wash-off masks before the sheet mask, you can follow my masking journey via my Instagram stories. If you haven't been following me, you can find all my past mask combos under my highlights section.

~ August 2021 Sheet Mask Empties ~

• Verflos Ggotbee Ginseng Honey Mask* ($19/5 masks)- I have no idea what Ggotbee is supposed to mean, but I really love these masks! I use these whenever my skin is starting to feel a little off, and my skin bounces back to normal instantly. Ginseng and honey are great for antiaging, acne prevention, brightening, and hydration. I recommend using these every other week to keep your skin looking and feeling great!
• Kin of My Skin Ultra Rare Hydrating White Truffle Mask* ($14.99/4 masks)- These masks are a little expensive, but I really like them a lot. I don't think that they are very hydrating, but they are skin softening. If you have aging skin, I highly recommend these! I also recommend these masks to anyone that spent a little too much time in the sun or tanning beds during their 20s. 
• JMSolution Water Luminous S.O.S Ringer Mask ($13.88/10 masks)- JMSolution masks are fantastic. They are made with quality ingredients, and the sheets feel amazing on the skin. The Water Luminous S.O.S Ringer Mask is one of the best hydrating masks I have ever tried! I like to use this mask after I "forget" to wash my face all weekend. It completely heals my skin and plumps it right back up. I also like to use these after a night of drinking alcohol. They are the best hangover cure for the skin. If your skin is dehydrated, I recommend getting these!

• EveryDaze Collagen Focus Treatment Mask ($15/10 masks)- I love the EveryDaze eye patches (diamond and gold), so I really wanted to try their new sheet masks. EveryDaze is a brand under Masksheets, my favorite online store for k-beauty skincare. I knew the quality of these masks would be fantastic, and I was right! These masks are great for keeping the skin hydrated, bright, and smooth. Everything that I look for in a sheet mask. The only issue I have with these masks is that the fit is a little too big for my face. Other than that, I highly recommend these!
• JMSolution Lacto Saccharomyces Golden Rice Mask ($11.99/10 masks)- If you are looking for smooth and bright skin, you need to try this mask from JMSolution. It comes with two pouches, and you need to push the contents from the bottom pouch into the top pouch before opening the mask. I love how much essence you get in this mask, it's enough to coat your arms and legs after masking! Rice is one of my favorite skincare ingredients, so I love this mask.
• Abib Gummy Sheet Mask Heartleaf Sticker* ($28/10 masks)- Abib is a new brand for me, and I have been loving their sheet masks! These masks are on the pricier side, but they are so worth it. These masks cling so well to the face that every nook and cranny absorb the amazing essence. After every use, my face looks supple and plump. I highly recommend these masks for full makeup days, they prep the skin so well! 

• AbyBom Ultra Water Leaf Mask ($10/10 masks)- I have had AbyBom masks on my wishlist for a very long time. I was always intrigued by the cute packaging, and everyone on Instagram raved about the quality of the masks. I finally picked up two types when they went on sale (they are still on sale right now), and I couldn't be more impressed with these masks! The quality of the masks is fantastic, they come dripping in essence, and they make my skin feel amazing. The Ultra Water Leaf Masks are great for dehydrated skin, it's seriously like a huge drink of water. You will see the difference in your skin after just the first use. I highly recommend these!
• AbyBom Ultra Royal Glow Queen Mask ($10/10 masks)- The Ultra Royal Glow Queen Masks are also very hydrating. However, I would use these when my skin starts looking a little dull or I'm about to get a breakout. Honey masks are amazing for the skin, and these are a fantastic option. I highly recommend these too!
• Innisfree My Real Squeeze Cucumber Mask ($12.99/10 masks)- The Innisfree My Real Squeeze mask line is very basic but great for anyone on a budget. These masks go on sale often and you can even find them at TJMaxx. If you are looking for a great daily sheet mask that will keep your skin hydrated and plump, these are the ones for you. They make a great range within the line, so you can find something that will work with your skin type. Just note that the mask type is indicated on the bottom right corner of the package. The Cucumber masks are a lotion-type mask, but there are other types of masks within the line so check before buying them!

• JMSolution Marine Luminous Pearl Deep Moisture Mask ($12.76/10 masks)- I used three of these masks last month because I love them so much! This is a three-step mask. It includes an essence step, a sheet mask, and an all-over cream that makes my skin GLOW. JMSolution masks are amazing, and this one is my favorite from the brand so far. I highly recommend these when traveling, especially when flying. Just don't wear sheet masks on the plane! 

• Lapalette No9 Nourishing Fit Mask (out of stock)- I'm super bummed that these amazing masks are out of stock everywhere! They are fantastic for stressed and dehydrated skin, so I like to keep a few of them on hand. I think I have one left, so I will have to save it until my skin is an absolute wreck. I guess I shouldn't recommend these if you can't get them anymore.
• Grace & Stella Energy Drink Eye Masks* ($26/24 patches)- I like to use these eye patches when I am heading out to an event with a full face of heavy makeup. They smooth out the skin under my eyes and make me look more awake. I like that these don't slide down my face while getting dressed. I have three more of these, but I need to get more soon!
• The Beauty Crop Avacado Eye Mask* ($16/3 sets)- I absolutely love these eye patches! They are very thin and they stay on my face very well. When I say that these patches are extremely nourishing, that's an understatement! I need to get my hands on more of these.

~ Final Thoughts ~

If I had to pick a favorite mask from last month, I would pick the JMSolution Marine Luminous Pearl Deep Moisture Mask. Obviously, I used three of them!

I happen to love masks with multiple steps, and I'm really sad to be down to my last few masks! Sounds like it's time for a sheet mask shopping spree!

August 2021 Beauty Empties + Mini Reviews

~ Monthly Beauty Empties ~

Welcome back to my Beauty Empties Series!

As I mentioned in my disclaimer above, I get sent a lot of products to test out every month. I test out every single product before giving it a fair review, and if I really love a product, it will end up in an empties post. 

After taking my empties photo for Instagram, I throw out all the empty containers. It may seem odd to mention this, but the truth is that most skincare influencers save all their empty bottles. This is how they are able to post massive skincare shelfies, but I find it deceptive. 

Anyway, back to my empties. The products that I will talk about in this post do not include my sheet mask empties for the month. Sheet masks will be reviewed in a separate blog post. 

This intro is getting a little too rambly, let's get to the empties...

~ August 2021 Beauty Empties ~

• Dr. Zenovia Aloe Vera Blemish Soothing Moisturizer* ($38)- I am absolutely obsessed with Dr. Zenovia skincare products. Everything that I've tried has been gentle, effective, and soothing, which are qualities needed in skincare designed for treating acne. Forget about harsh Proactive sets, if you are suffering from acne, especially hormonal acne, you need to try Dr. Zenovia products. They sell an acne set that includes a mini of this amazing moisturizer, and I highly recommend picking it up! I already have a few backups of this moisturizer, it's that amazing. I think I may write a blog post with my recommendations from this brand. Let me know if that's something you want to see in the comments below.
• Farmacy Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer* ($38)- During the summer, my skin can feel a little oily and breakouts are a little more common. I like to use a gel moisturizer on the hottest days of the summer, and this one from Farmacy is amazing for that. I wouldn't use this moisturizer on skin with active acne (use the Dr. Zenovia one for that), it contains some mild acids that will help exfoliate your skin and it may cause a reaction on broken skin. If you have oily skin and want to prevent breakouts, this is the moisturizer for you!
• Pixi Glow Tonic Mini* ($18 for the full-sized toner)- I have always been curious about the Pixi toners. I have seen them on all the skincare Instagram pages, but I was never convinced enough to pull the lever and buy one for myself. After using up a bottle of the mini Glow Tonic (a 5% Glycolic Acid toner), I have to say that it is an effective AHA toner. However, I'm not very impressed with the price. Instead, I would recommend the Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Night Pads ($13/60 pads). They are a great dupe for the Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel Pads ($88/ 30 pads) and they are more effective than the Pixi Glow Tonic. Save yourself some time and go for the Nip+Fab pads instead.
• 111Skin NAC Y2 Pollution Defense Booster* ($135)- Ok, hear me out. I know that this is a crazy expensive serum/ampoule, but this is an amazing product! If you live in a heavily polluted city, I highly recommend getting one of these to protect your skin. This ampoule also works well to combat blue light pollution, so anyone sitting at their computer all day should consider this one too. The bottle looks tiny, but it lasted me a few months due to the thickness and spreadability of the ampoule. I will say that it did make my skin a little tacky, so I highly recommend following up with a moisturizer. I will be on the lookout for a good dupe for the 111Skin Ampoule, but until then, I will recommend this one.

~ Final Thoughts ~

I am pretty sad to see the 111Skin Ampoule go. It was absolutely fantastic, and I will most likely buy a new one for my skincare lineup. 

Like I mentioned above, I already have a few backups of the Dr. Zenovia moisturizer, it's that amazing. I also have a backup of the Farmacy moisturizer that I will be putting to good use soon.

The only product that I wouldn't ever repurchase is the Pixi Glow Tonic. It was just ok, it definitely can't compete with other glycolic acid products on the market.

Now that I posted my July 2020 Beauty Empties, I can post my sheet mask empties.

I am what they call a "daily sheet masker". I literally use a sheet mask every single day. Some people think that it's excessive, but my skin really loves all the TLC.

In order to reduce waste, I started using individually packaged sheet masks and boxed sheet masks on alternate days. Boxed sheet masks, like the Dewytree Pick & Quick masks, come 30 in a box. They are a great way to be more ecofriendly while still sheet masking regularly.

If you do want to sheet mask daily, I highly recommend using boxed sheet masks to supplement your masking routine. They aren't as intensely hydrating as regular sheet masks, but they are a great addition to most masking routines.

Please keep in mind that I am a bit of a sheet mask addict. I love relaxing with a sheet mask at the end of a long day, and I love to try new sheet masks every month. You do not need to sheet mask daily to see results. You should sheet mask 2-3 times a week to start seeing benefits, and only use sheet masks more often if your skin can handle the intense treatment. 

Not everyone enjoys sheet masks, and that's ok!

Enough of the intro, let's get to my July empties...

Rovectin Dr. Mask Cica A.C. Mask*- I'm actually using one of these as I'm writing this post. I absolutely love this sheet mask. If you have acne-prone skin, this will be your new bestie. I love how the mask completely calms my breakouts and helps them shrink without irritating my skin. I am honestly pretty impressed with the Rovectin brand lately.

Dewytree It's Pure Rose Mask- This is one of my favorite brightening masks. It's not as expensive as my HG brightening masks, but it works really well. My skin is always glowing and radiant after I use this mask, and I'm really sad that I finished the box of 10. I really need to repurchase these ASAP.

Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sheet Mask- I am very impressed with the Round Lab sheet masks. The Birch Juice Moisturizing version is very hydrating and soothing. It can be enjoyed by all skin types, and I would recommend using this mask regularly if you have a disrupted or damaged skin barrier. I am definitely going to be repurchasing this mask.

Aloisia Marie Honey Glow Mask*- I am so blown away by the Aloisia Marie sheet masks. I was sent one of each mask in their collection, and I loved every single one of them! The Honey Glow Mask is hands down my favorite from the brand, and I need to get more of these in my life. You may remember from all my other sheet mask empties posts that I love sheet masks with honey/propolis, so it's not really surprising that I am obsessed with this mask. If you want to try out this brand, get the Honey Glow Mask!

Aloisia Marie Aloe Stem Cell Mask*- I also really enjoyed the Aloe Stem Cell Mask. This is a 3-step mask and it includes a Pre-Treatment Cleanser, a Revitalizing Serum Ampoule, and the Aloe Stem Cell Mask. I really enjoyed all of the steps and I think that they worked together very well. I love to use the 3-step masks when traveling, but we obviously aren't traveling anywhere any time soon. So I decided to use the mask at home, and I'm happy that I tried it! 

Skinfood Beauty In A Food Mask (Bird's Nest)- I really enjoy these daily sheet masks. They are very basic, but they are so affordable and work well to hydrate the skin. I like to think of these lower-end masks as maintenance masks. The Bird's Nest version felt very nice on the skin and I would definitely repurchase this mask.

Skinfood Beauty In A Food Mask (Aloe)- If I'm going to be honest, this was the most underwhelming aloe sheet mask that I've ever tried. It hydrated my skin, but I kind of expected more based on other aloe masks on the market. I won't be repurchasing this mask.

Skinfood Beauty In A Food Mask (Green Tea)- I really enjoyed this mask. It was a great basic Green Tea mask, and it made my skin so soft and smooth. I love green tea in skincare, so I would definitely stock up on these.

Papa Recipe Bombee Fruitables Red Squeeze Intensive Mask- If you love sheet masks that are so saturated with essence that it drips down your neck, you will love the Bombee Fruitables line (if you can still find these). I am so upset that my favorite K-Beauty shops are slowly getting rid of all their Bombee Fruitables inventory, but I'm hoping that these make a come back in the states soon. Just a warning, these are HEAVILY fragranced and they are not suitable for sensitive skin.

Papa Recipe Bombee Fruitables Purple Squeeze Lifting Mask- Again, I love these masks. As soon as I can get these on sale again, I will be stocking up! A close dupe for these sheet masks are the Mustus Daily Harvest Squeeze masks. I like the Mustus masks, but I really like the Papa Recipe masks a little more. 

Goodal Tea Tree Infused Water Mild Sheet Mask- I spoke about these masks in my June sheet mask empties, but I will say it again. These are fantastic for a basic sheet mask. I am blown away by the quality of the mask and the power of the essence. I like to keep a healthy stash of Tea Tree masks for when my skin decides to breakout, so I'm happy that I found an affordable option. I honestly like these even better than my HG Mediheal Tea Tree masks!

Goodal Mugwort Infused Water Mild Sheet Mask- If you love Mugwort in your skincare, these are going to be your new favorite sheet masks. I think that I will always need these in my sheet mask stash. They are great for whenever my skin needs a little TLC, but I don't want to overload it with too many ingredients. I am so obsessed with these!

In addition to the 14 sheet masks that I mentioned in this post, I also used the Dewytree Pick & Quick sheet masks on alternate days. So yes, I am a daily sheet masker. 

I really enjoyed most of these masks, but I would have to say that the Aloisia Marie Honey Glow Mask* was my favorite mask I used last month.

July 2020 Beauty Empties

My Empties Series is one of my favorites to write. I like to watch empties videos on YouTube, so I figured I would start to show off my empties on my blog.

Beauty Bloggers and "Influencers" try out so many products each month, so it's so important to see which products they actually use up. If I love a product, I will use every last drop and it will end up in an empties post. 

There are quite a few products that I test out and like, but I don't love them enough to finish the bottles. Those are the products that will show up in my Skincare Routines posts (check out the Skincare Routines Series tab at the top of this page for my current skincare routine) but they won't make it to an empties post.

Then there are other products that I show off in a haul, but they never show up in my routines. Those products usually end up going into my husband's skincare routine because the ingredients are more suitable for his skin type.

Either way, my Empties Series is the way to find out which products I really enjoyed.

Anyway, this post will be going over the beauty products I've used up in July. My sheet mask empties are not included, they will be listed in my July 2020 Sheet Mask Empties post.

• Manyo Factory Pure Cleansing Oil*- As my regular readers already know, I love to use a cleansing oil in the PM. I am a huge supporter of the double cleanse method, and I always recommend adding a cleansing oil to your routine. However, not all cleansing oils are created equal. You want to find an oil that will remove your makeup and sunscreen, but you also need to be able to remove the oil easily with water. The Pure Cleansing Oil is fantastic and pretty affordable. I will definitely be getting this again in the future.
• SNP Bird's Nest Water Sleeping Pack*- This sleeping pack has shown up so many times in my empties over the last year. This sleep mask comes in a box of small foil packets of the product. Each packet lasted me about 5 days, and I love that I get a fresh sleeping pack every few days. This mask is so lightweight but hydrates so deeply. I love using this in the winter, but it can really be used all year round. I really recommend these!
• Subi Beauty Perfect Pimple Patch*- Pimple patches are my HG for breakouts. If you haven't tried pimple patches yet, you are in for a real treat! Simply apply a patch to a breakout for a few hours and the patch will suck all the gunk out of the spot. The Subi patches are great! They stay on the skin overnight and they pull out a ton from the blocked pores. I highly recommend these.

July was a slow month for empties, but I am still proud that I finished a few products. I get so many skincare products to review, but I really do try to finish products before testing new ones.

One thing that I love about reviewing skincare is that there is less of a chance of hoarding products than with reviewing makeup. It makes me a little sick when I watch makeup decluttering videos on YouTube.

If you do love to collect makeup, you do you! I'm not judging! However, I do appreciate the project pan hashtag that has been going around Instagram the last year or so. 

It's really important to use products before they go bad. I have had to throw out an eye shadow palette last year because it was just too old.

June 2020 Sheet Mask Empties + Mini Reviews

It's been 4 years since I tried my first sheet mask, and it took me a long time to get used to the sensation of placing a cold wet sheet onto my skin.

I started out masking once a week, and I remember saving the extra essence in a glass dropper bottle to use for the following 3-4 days. I'm not sure what made me decide to do that, but my guess would be that I was buying very expensive sheet masks and I didn't want to waste any of the essence in the packet.

Although it's a good idea to save the essence from expensive masks, there are now so many affordable sheet mask options that you can use the extra essence on your neck and chest instead.

Hint: I highly recommend using the essence right away, the saved sheet mask essence isn't very stable and isn't meant to be stored.

Now that I have become a bit of a sheet mask addict, I sheet mask every day.

Since switching to daily sheet masking, my skin has been behaving a lot more, and my once combination skin behaves like normal skin on most days. This is a major improvement for me personally, and I cannot even begin to describe the horrible state my skin used to be in for at least two weeks every month.

Now, daily sheet masking can be very environmentally unfriendly. Imagine all of the sheet mask packets filling the landfill every month if I used regular sheet masks every day!

Thankfully, sheet masks now come in boxes of 30 masks that are not individually wrapped. What a fantastic concept! 

I alternate between individually wrapped and boxed sheet masks every other day, and I can hardly detect a difference in my skin condition. Keep in mind that the boxed sheet masks are extremely basic and they will do little more than thoroughly hydrate the skin. I find that using these masks every other day works well for my skin, and I highly recommend trying this out if you are looking to cut down on sheet mask waste.

I used a total of 15 sheet masks in June, but remember that I use the boxed sheet masks on alternate days so that I'm masking daily.

Let's get to the mini reviews...

JM Solution Glow Luminous Aurora Mask- If you are looking for a creamy rich essence that will brighten up dull-looking skin, this is the sheet mask for you. I absolutely love JM Solution sheet masks, and the Glow Luminous Aurora mask is one of my favorites! I purchased a box of 10, and I officially used them all. I have three boxes of JM Solution masks on the way and I'm excited to try them out. I will post my haul in my Instagram stories this week, so stay tuned!

Elakoko Noni Enriched Nourishing Mask*- I was sent a box of 5 of these masks a few years ago, and I have been using them so sparingly. I am obsessed with these sheet masks, but they are so hard to find in the US. I really wish I could get my hands on these again because they are seriously fantastic. The orange version has the brightening essence, but the green version is great too. If you can find either of the Elakoko Noni Enriched Masks, stock up fast!

Aloisia Marie Aloe Soothing Mask*- I am so happy that I was given the chance to try this mask. They remind me of the Mediheal masks, but the sheet is a lot softer and there is A LOT more essence. I will definitely be purchasing these on my own in the future. They are amazing!

Leaders Mediu Amino Propolis Mask- If you have been reading my sheet mask empties posts, you may already know how much I love Leaders sheet masks. You may also know that I love propolis and honey sheet masks. This one is a great alternative to the Papa Recipe Bombee Honey Black mask if you are sensitive to heavy fragrance. This mask is so nourishing and softening! I went through 10 of these already and now I need more!

Leaders Mediu Amino Moisture Mask- Another great mask from Leaders. I always recommend these for dry/dehydrated or irritated skin. They are great to use after a chemical peel or other harsh treatment. I went through two boxes of these already and I will definitely be repurchasing these soon!

Dewytree Aqua Deep Mask*- Since I post a lot of Dewytree sheet masks on Instagram, the brand reached out to me and sent me a cute gift package. It included three of these sheet masks, and I love them! I honestly love every Dewytree sheet mask I've tried so far, so I really wasn't all that surprised. The sheet is so thin but very strong. It has an amazing fit, and the essence is so hydrating. I really need to get my hands on these again.

Dewytree Hyaluron Melting-Chou Mask- I bought this mask after I tried the Hyaluron Melting-Chou Cream, and it was everything I expected. I love how deeply nourishing the cream is, and the mask gives me the same results. If you need a major boost of nourishment and hydration, you need to try this mask.

Etude House 0.2mm Air Therapy Mask (Madecassoside)- As a daily masker, I am always looking for affordable sheet masks that will keep my skin hydrated and healthy. I am so surprised by the entire 0.2mm Air Therapy line, and I love the Madecassoside version so much. It is a very basic mask, but perfect for anyone on a budget. I definitely recommend checking this line out!

Goodal Mugwort Infused Water Mild Sheet Mask- Another great line of sheet masks that can be used daily. If you want to get the Goodal Infused Water Mild Sheet Masks, I highly recommend getting the Mugwort version. It is perfect for most skin types (don't use this one if you have sensitive skin), and it will help keep your skin clear and healthy using gentle ingredients.

Goodal Tea Tree Infused Water Mild Sheet Mask- Alternatively, if you have very oil or acne-prone skin, you may want to stock up on the Tea Tree version. These are fantastic for keeping the skin clear and hydrated at the same time. I use these whenever I feel a breakout coming, and it keeps my skin looking so clear!

Round Lab Apple Peeling Sheet Mask- I really wanted to try something from Round Lab, so I purchased four of their sheet masks. The Apple Peeling sheet mask was fantastic. It is a very gentle exfoliating sheet mask that is perfect for once a week. It is also very hydrating, so it doesn't irritate the skin like a regular chemical exfoliator. Even though this is a gentle mask, I do not recommend it for sensitive skin.

Round Lab Mugwort Calming Sheet Mask- This one is great for all skin types. Mugwort is so calming and helps repair the skin barrier. If you can't tell, I'm a little obsessed with Mugwort in my skincare. Most of the products I've tried work really well and most can be used on sensitive skin. It is honestly a great ingredient!

Skinfood Beauty In A Food Mask Sheet (Caviar)- I picked up 7 of the Beauty In A Food sheet masks to review on my blog, and I'm happy with most of them. This one is just meh for me. I'm not sure what Caviar is supposed to do for the skin, but this was just a hydrating sheet mask for me. I probably won't purchase this one again.

Skinfood Beauty In A Food Mask Sheet (Propolis & Bee Venom)- I love this one! I think it's my favorite from the line. Yes, I really love propolis sheet masks. I will 100% repurchase this mask. I hope to get a box of 10 soon so that I can use them more regularly. I want to know what the Bee Venom will do for my skin long-term. If you want to try out propolis or bee venom, get this mask!

Skinfood Beauty In A Food Mask Sheet (Snail)- I honestly really enjoyed this mask. Snail mucin may sound a little gross to someone new to K-Beauty, but it is a fantastic ingredient. It really nourishes and deeply hydrates the skin in such a unique way. I try to use snail mucin in my routine as much as possible, and this mask is a great addition.

I used so many amazing sheet masks in June. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Dewytree Hyaluron Melting-Chou Mask. I am just so in love with how soft it made my skin feel after one use.

May 2020 Sheet Mask Empties

It's been 4 years since I tried my first sheet mask, and it took me a long time to get used to the sensation of placing a cold wet sheet onto my skin.

I started out masking once a week, and I remember saving the extra essence in a glass dropper bottle to use for the following 3-4 days. I'm not sure what made me decide to do that, but my guess would be that I was buying very expensive sheet masks and I didn't want to waste any of the essence in the packet.

Although it's a good idea to save the essence from expensive masks, there are now so many affordable sheet mask options that you can use the extra essence on your neck and chest instead.

Hint: I highly recommend using the essence right away, the saved sheet mask essence isn't very stable and isn't meant to be stored.

Now that I have become a bit of a sheet mask addict, I sheet mask every day.

Since switching to daily sheet masking, my skin has been behaving a lot more, and my once combination skin behaves like normal skin on most days. This is a major improvement for me personally, and I cannot even begin to describe the horrible state my skin used to be in for at least two weeks every month.

Now, daily sheet masking can be very environmentally unfriendly. Imagine all of the sheet mask packets filling the landfill every month if I used regular sheet masks every day!

Thankfully, sheet masks now come in boxes of 30 masks that are not individually wrapped. What a fantastic concept! 

I alternate between individually wrapped and boxed sheet masks every other day, and I can hardly detect a difference in my skin condition. Keep in mind that the boxed sheet masks are extremely basic and they will do little more than thoroughly hydrate the skin. I find that using these masks every other day works well for my skin, and I highly recommend trying this out if you are looking to cut down on sheet mask waste.

I used a total of 14 individually wrapped sheet masks in May, and I used the Dewytree Pick & Quick Moisture Full masks on the other days. The only new masks that I tried were the Aloisia Marie Aqua Collagen Mask*, Goodal Tea Tree Mild Sheet Mask, Esfolio Red Ginseng Essence Mask, and the Round Lab.Soybean Nourishing Mask.

Esfolio Red Ginseng Essence Mask-  I hauled the Esfolio Essence Mask Sheet line in April 2019, and I finally used the very last mask. Now I can review the entire line on my blog, and save you the trouble of being disappointed in these masks full of alcohol. Yes, that's correct. These masks are formulated with a ton of alcohol, and I was extremely upset that I didn't notice the ingredients list before I made my purchase. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this entire line of sheet masks!

Round Lab.Soybean Nourishing Mask- I was really excited to try these sheet masks, and fortunately, they did not disappoint me like the Esfolio masks. I purchased four of the masks in this line, and I'm really excited to use the remaining three masks. The Soybean mask was very hydrating and conditioning. I used it after a clay mask, and it helped my skin stay nourished. 

Goodal Tea Tree Mild Sheet Mask- I purchased a pack of 10 of these masks because I love to have tea tree masks in my sheet mask stash for the occasional breakout. These worked really well to help calm any redness and heal active acne. I ended up using two of these masks last month, and they were great both times. I am really interested in trying out some of the other masks in this line.

Etude House 0.2 Air Therapy Green Tea Mask- These are great daily sheet masks. The whole 0.2 Air Therapy line is very basic but will work well when used regularly or in conjunction with a daily sheet mask routine. The Green Tea version feels really nice and soothing. I highly recommend these, but don't expect any basic sheet mask to transform your skin with one use.

Etude House 0.2 Air Therapy Ceramide Mask- Again, I really like these masks. The Ceramide version is great when the skin feels a little irritated or out of balance. The ceramides help repair and strengthen the skin barrier, and I love to use this after using too many chemical exfoliants. This version would be a great option for every skin type.

Dewytree It's Pure Lavender Mask- It's really unfortunate that this mask is currently out of stock because I love this mask. My skin does really well with lavender masks, and this one from Dewytree is no exception. The It's Pure line is not a basic sheet mask line like the previous two masks. This sheet mask will help your skin with only one use, but I do recommend using them regularly for the full benefits. If you can find these masks for sale anywhere and you don't have any lavender sensitivities, I highly recommend picking up a box or two.

Dewytree Aqua Deep Mask*- I am really impressed with this sheet mask, but I am always loving every Dewytree sheet mask that I try. This mask will deeply hydrate the skin and leave your face looking radiant. They are seriously fantastic. The only thing that annoys me about this mask is the extra-large size of the sheet. It's a little difficult to fit on my face, but I somehow make it work!

Dewytree Myung Bonan Mask- Another great mask that is out of stock. I actually picked up 10 of these masks in May 2019, and I finally used the last one a year later. I honestly think that I have been saving this last mask because I loved it so much! This mask makes my skin so soft and bright. I'm really upset that they are out of stock, I would have picked up another 10 for my birthday this month.

Elensilia Escargot + Placenta Firming Mask- I have been obsessed with the Elensilia Escargot line of sheet masks for a really long time. Check out this old sheet mask empties post from October 2018 where I rave about the Firming masks! It's almost two years later, and I still think these are great. The sheet is pretty thick, but if you are looking for a life-changing sheet mask, these are the ones for you!

Elensilia Escargot + Propolis Revitalizing Mask- As with the Firming masks, I love the Revitalizing masks. I picked these up two years ago, and I have repurchased them at least three times since then. These are great for all skin types and it will help almost all skin conditions. Papa Recipe Bombee Black Honey Mask- This mask smells so freaking good! Hands down, the Bombee Black Honey mask is my favorite honey sheet mask on the market. I even featured this mask in my May 2019 Beauty Favorites post. With one use, this mask will soothe, heal, and completely hydrate the skin. If you haven't tried the Bombee Honey line, I recommend starting with this one.

Elakoko Noni Enriched Moisturizing Mask*- Another great mask that will nourish your skin. The Elakoko Noni Enriched masks are so amazing and the Moisturizing version is my favorite nourishing mask of all time. Noni is such a fantastic ingredient and I am trying to find more skincare products with Noni to try out. If you have any recommendations, please leave them in the comments section. 

Aloisia Marie Aqua Collagen Mask*- If you are looking for a real spa experience at home, you need to try this mask. I used it after a glycolic acid peel, and my skin recovered so quickly! The sheet itself is so soft and it comes absolutely saturated in essence. The spa-like scent really seals the deal for me, and I cannot recommend this sheet mask enough. It is a bit on the pricier side, so I recommend this mask for special occasions (like after a chemical peel).

If I had to choose a favorite mask for last month, I would have to pick the Aloisia Marie Aqua Collagen Mask. It was absolutely amazing, and I can't wait to try out the other masks that were sent to me from the brand.

The only mask that I didn't enjoy last month was the Esfolio mask. There was just too much alcohol for my liking, and I honestly don't understand why it was even added to the ingredients list. Alcohol is totally unnecessary in a sheet mask.
